 Sorry, I can't agree with the previous reviewer. We visited this site for the last week in May incorporating the Bank Holiday.
The site was far too big, hundreds of caravans, tents etc, the only saving grace we had was we had a Waterside Premier Pitch, if we'd have been anywhere else on the site we would have come home earlier.
On arrival the reception staff were very pleasant and booking in was quick and efficient. We were told to head for the 'siting' vans which we did and we were swiftly taken to our pitch. The pitch as stated was lovely, looking out over the lake but the duck and goose 'do do' that was on the pitches was terrible, no attempt had been made to clear it up. We had to brush it first off.
The facilities block, although really sparce and uninviting were always clean and plenty of loo roll etc, but thought that after what we paid per night for the pitch 50p for a shower was unacceptable.
The take away although we didn't use it, frightened us off with the prices they were displaying.
Off site now, The Seagull Inn, the Sunday Carvery is well worth the money and we also ate there for the steak night on Wednesday, this also was very good value for money. Didn't frequent at night as the hoards of screaming kids at only 6.30 put us off. We drank further along the road at Scotty's which was much smaller.
The surrounding area was scattered with other caravan sites, Pontins, Amusement Arcades, the fair etc.
The nearest supermarket we found was Tesco some 8 miles away.
Would we go back?, don't think so, may suit some but not us.

Had a great week here. The weather was nice for us but it can get very windy! The site was clean and well maintained with plenty of wardens on hand.
We were on a no dog field and it was clean with quite big pitches. Not much open space near the pitches but there is a couple of playparks and a very large play area for kids to play. The showers and toilets were very clean and I didn't mind paying 50p for the shower as it was a nice temperature and lasted long enough. We also found the toddler bathrooms to be a really good thing(free to use!)
The onsite shop is well priced and well stocked and most days open 8 till 8. The takeaway was very good offering proper fish and chips at a reasonable price and the adjoined diner also does the same meals as well as breakfast in the morning. I am definitely going to book again next year.

What a beautiful campsite. We can't really give it a good enough review. We stopped on one of the dog fields (even though we didn't have a dog)
The pitches were a good size, the toilet blocks were spotless, and spacious. Kids loved the play areas and although we were on the dog field there was no mess at all. The takeaway / restaurant on the site was great and not expensive. Normally the onsite shop can be overpriced but this was not the case here, we found it fair priced and well stocked.
All in all a wonderful weeks break on a wonderful campsite, we will be returning.

The toilet block were clean on the whole. The showers were ok, but you have to remember your 50p, plus I found that shower started before I had taken my clothes off! Was a big rush for me LOL. Also I found the shower blocks to be a bit too cold. Playground and dog walk were excellent. We arrived the day before Easter day, and was squeezed in the last pitch on the field. We were very close to the next caravan, and not impressed!

Pitched up here for one night as a stop over. Lovely warm welcome from reception. Paved hardstanding pitch with electric just £10.50 for our motorhome, us 2 and the dog (OK it was March and out of season but that's as cheap as a CL!).
We were in 8 Acres and the facilities were spotless and plentiful. We walked around the site later that evening while the sun was setting and the lakeside pitches looked even better than ours(they are an extra £2 per night in March). Massive site - not for us during the season but great out of season.
Nothing open of course, but we never expected it to be. Pete's Takeaway (out the site entrance, turn left and it's a short stroll) did great fish and chips though, that we ate on the beach that evening with hardly a soul in sight!
The only noise we heard overnight was the resident geese, who also poo everywhere - so dog owners beware if you have a K9 dustbin who eats most things (like ours!).
Would definitely use again out of season as a stop over.

Upon arriving on site I felt very out of place, driving past some brand new caravans with my 1983 abi ace on the back, it did not help either when walking in a very posh reception, but as soon as I started talking to the very friendly and helpful staff I soon felt at home. Within the reception were a few of the basic items you could need for caravan, anything more you would need to talk to the on site workshop who are willing to help you out when they can.
Pricing for the pitches are at a good rate, with the only gripe having to pay to have our 9 month daughter to stay with us.
The hard standing pitch we had in no dog field 1 was great with plenty of room, with clean and lovely looking grass. The toilet blocks in this field are second to none and could not fault them.
A grass pitch which we had later in the season was great to, the toilet blocks on this section were very good, just had lots of grass on the floor, but this could not be helped with a site so full. We had a slight problem with the electrics on this pitch but can not say if it was the site or our van that was at fault.
Had no problem with noise on this site apart from on night when they were still letting people pitch at 2230.
There are plenty of bins on this site along with enough fresh water taps and easy access to toilet and waste points.
Take away food was lovely if not small portions for the cost.
Security was good on this site with a man and his van situated at the entrance, watching for cars that shouldn't be on site.
This site overall is great with clean grass and friendly staff, short walk to beach and leisure park with fishing lake on site you could not ask for a better site,
I will return to this site time and again.

Second visit to this site, first time was in May 2008.
Excellent site, excellent facilities, lovely clean toilet facilities with an on-site cleaner who really does her job well.
Great value for money in take-away - especially children's meals. Play areas and parks are fantastic for kids (we have 3 aged 10, 6 and 3) who thoroughly enjoy themselves.
Reception staff very friendly and welcoming, and very helpful too.
Will definitely be returning to this site for many years to come!
Keep up the good work!

We stayed here for the last week in August. It was very busy but our field was fairly quiet compared to other fields. We were only a minute away from the loos and shower blocks which were some of the best we have used.
The kids play areas were good with one just round the corner more suitable for older children. Our son made quite a few friends whilst there. Went for a walk on Brean Down, the views were spectacular and we were treated to a display by the Red Arrows (definitely the best place to see them from). It was very windy whilst we were there but perfect for flying kites on the beach.
Very busy around the Leisure Park but no noise at our site. Mostly cooked our own meals but did have a couple out, the Riverside in Cheddar - pricey! and the Lamb Inn at Weare which was good food and very reasonably priced and staff very friendly. All in all good holiday, good campsite and will go again.

A big site, reception and all areas of the site are clean and very tidy. Decent shop with fresh bread and pasties (smelt wonderful).
We were on saver no dog field 3 - which was near the back of the park. Much quieter here, although the shower/toilet block was about 5 mins walk away. But you didn't mind that as the facilities in the block was fantastic. Piped music, heated, curtained wash basin cubicles. Showers hot and clean (50p for 8 mins). Cleaned regularly.
Would definitely come back here again.

We keep going back to this site the staff are friendly and helpful even the lady who obviously owns the park takes time to speak to everyone when passing on route to the reception. We have used the site during the school holidays and weekends when it can be very noisy around the toilet block areas why is it when given a proper play ground children have to hang around on bikes skate boards where cars are parking to use facilities.
We always pitch on lake side or 8 acres which are more spacious then the row upon rows which are closest to the entrance. The take away is good value sometimes have to wait at peak times. We don't often use the Seagull Inn best to go after nine as the number of small children has reduced some acts are well worth watching food a little expensive but the conserverty is more pleasant to dine. This area has something for everyone
The beach is close and if you don't want to carry everything its reasonable to park the car on the sands. Good markets on the leisure park and Burnham is well worth a vist also not far via the lanes into Weston. Not a site for anyone who wants peace and solitude great for families and
Excellent for disabled visitors they have disabled suite on all fields.
We will be spending a week there in sept.

We have visited this camp site several times and really enjoy it.
The only thing that took some of the shine off it this visit was that although we booked 2 Lakeside pitches (one for my sister), when we arrived there was only one free. Apparently somebody had gotten confused and had set up on a Lakeside pitch when they should have been on Premier. Luckily enough we still managed to be together but unfortunately my sister had to set up on the Premier pitch behind us. I think this misunderstanding could be avoided by having allocated pitches at booking. The ground staff and receptionists were very apologetic but apart from this we had a wonderful long weekend.
The toilet and shower blocks are really clean and well looked after. The campsite is also well maintained. We weren't overimpressed by the fish and chip shop on site but found Pete's takeaway opposite Pontins to be very good.
We had three keen adult fishermen with us who found the fishing to be very good but it was my 8 year old son who turned out to have the most catches!
We will definitely return, no worries.

Keep on coming back here, all facilities are excellent.
Toilets very clean and well maintained, clean site, takeaway not large but has a good selection with friendly staff.
Site has well spaced pitches many with hardstandings, really nice around the lake.
Good open air markets in area, good shopping in Burnham-on -sea and Weston-S-Mare.
Look forward to returning for short breaks several times each year.

Stayed here almost a year ago, and had a really great time.
We stayed in no dog field 3, which I must admit was slight cramped for ouor liking, but we were only away for a weekend, so we made do.
The reception staff are great, and the field was in good condition.
I would recommend this site to others, the toilet/shower facilites are great, showers do cost 50p for around 6 or 7 minutes but its plenty of time! They have a great pressure and the temp was just right. Always clean and tidy too!

Just returned from two weeks at Northam Farm. The glorious weather was a bonus to an excellent holiday there. Easy to find from the M5.
On arrival, welcomed by staff in reception and shown to our pitch facing the fishing lake. Very obliging staff, offered to help move the caravan into best position to view the lake.
Showers and loos very good - even at the busiest times. Always clean and tidy. Showers cost 50p.
Pitches for disabled near to loos - just a mention that showers have a step (no handrail) which could be tricky for anyone with mobility problems. Huge laundrette. Caravan sales of new and second hand vans. All pitches are a good size.
Big camp but divided fields making it feel smaller. Nice doggy walks around the lake. Fishing good, from what I was told.
Family entertainment at The Seagull club just off the camp site, so no rowdy music to disturb campers late at night - drinks average price. One down side, we had a takeaway from the camp chippy, £12 for fish and chips for two, which were dry and unimpressive. Good meals at The Palace above shops opposite Pontins and The Seagull. Cornish pasties from the bakery beneath The Palace very tasty.
Further up the road cars can access the beach and park all day for £2. Cafe on the beach and ice cream van up and down the beach all day. Nice walk from the beach to an old fort which can be reached by steps or a slope up the hillside. All NT, from the top views of Brean Downs from one side and Weston Super Mare from the other - shame about the fire at the pier.
Without exception we found all the staff friendly and helpful and I'd recommend this site. Like many other people we spoke to - we'll be back.

This site is the best! We have stayed there twice now and considering it's an hour down the road we consider it to be the best. It is such a clean friendly place.
We have a 4 year old and staying on the No dog pitch with the playground is ideal. We have been guided to our pitch and the guys have been very obliging in getting us as close to the playground as possible.
The shower blocks and toilets are spotless, they even have toddler toilets.
Fish and Chips are gorgeous and the shop is reasonably priced.
The reception staff provide a very warm welcome.
The surrounding entertainment outside of the site is great for teenagers etc. We just want a quiet time when we visit so therefore have not tried the Seagull pub.
It's a very relaxing place and would recommend it to anyone.
