We stayed here as our overnight stop on the way home. It is a lovely site, pitches are arranged around a lake, there are quite a lot of fishermen with seasonal pitches, the Caravan owners seem to take lots of pride in keeping their pitches pristine. We chose to pitch at the far end of the lake, our only problem was the 5 minute walk to the toilet block. Lots of ducks and I got quite close to a water vole.
Reception has a shop area and bread is available to pre-order. Access to the site is via a coded barrier. I believe they have takeaway vans that visit on several nights a week.
Toilet and shower facilities are clean, plenty of hot water, take your own soap and loo roll. There is a games room, laundry and children's outdoor play area. Three is a Base de loisirs next door with kayaks etc to rent. via mobile
Beautiful campsite in stunning grounds. There is a crystal clear little river that runs all around this site. Lots of wildlife.
Toilets and showers were spotlessly clean, although I do feel they were a little dated, but never the less, showers were nice and hot.
Warm welcome from the lovely lady on reception, who gave me her own butter as they didn’t have any in the shop and it was a Sunday afternoon and everywhere was closed.
Very relaxed friendly atmosphere, very close to Dieppe and the port.
We returned to this site again this year and well, I could live here. It is a beautiful spot, and has pitches right by the rivers and/or lakes. The reception staff are bi-lingual, and there is plenty of literature around of things to do. The showers and washing up facilities are excellent. There are not many toilet cubicles and they are unisex but we never had to queue. There are 2 toilet blocks anyway. An addition to the campsite this year is a snack bar, very handy when you first arrive, or for a pint in the evening.
Choose your time when visiting Dieppe. We went on a Saturday but there was a big market all around the quayside, which we would love to have looked around, but we couldn't find any place to park so had to leave. Instead we went to Le Treport, which was a very pleasant surprise. Well worth a visit.
Stayed at this lovely site for 2 nights in late September.
Very easy to find, as it's just off the main road outside Martigny; a lovely French village with an old castle overlooking.
The site is absolutely beautiful, with plenty floral displays everywhere. It is very well maintained, & the facilities are first class. There are a lot of pitches overlooking a fishing lake, all portioned off by small hedges & plenty of room for awnings, tables etc. There are also plenty of pitches near to the facilities if you are infirmed or handicapped in any way.
The owner of the site, well spoken, is a lovely French lady who speaks perfect English. She went out of her way to advise us on all matter of things regarding transport, eating places and cycling routes. She is a real gem.
We went into Dieppe for a day and found it well worth the visit. A fine old harbour, surrounded by restaurants & coffee bars greeted us. What a lovely town with a beach to boot !
This site was very quiet at night, with no traffic noise. A perfect haven.
A beautifully situated peaceful site at the side of a stream and lake with the Castle of Arques la Bataille on a hill nearby.
This is a well maintained site with good clean facilities and the free WIFI works close to reception. Friendly reception, decorated by a well maintained floral display.
There are quite a few static vans around with French families making good use of the space.
Situated adjacent to the green route (ex railway path) between Dieppe and Paris means there is ready access to a safe off road cycle route inland. The route also provides a way into Dieppe, but that is largely along relatively quiet urban roads.
Dieppe is one of the nicer channel ports and well worth a visit with an interesting art gallery within the chateau, a popular seafront, and plenty of restaurants around the town.
