We stayed here because we have friends who have a static van on this site. Large touring field is a separate area. Pitches are level and all grass. Toilet and shower unit is in adjacent field. It's new and was adequate for us, but site was fairly quiet and I wonder if the limited facilities would cope when the site is busy. There is a large, well equipped, children's play area. Small shop is only open over the weekend, likewise the club/restaurant. There is a pub, the Mill Beach, within walking distance. We drove into Goldhanger which has a lovely country pub, The Chequers, good food and real ale. Dogs ok in the bar. This is a quiet site next to the river estuary. Can be windy and there is the occasional whiff from the water treatment plant nearby. We paid 19 for a pitch with electric, 2 adults and the dog. Quite good value, we would be happy to use this site again.

The campsite was clean and tidy. There were quite a few bugs in the toilet facilities but in general they were clean (although the shower was a little temperamental!). The children's play area was good fun and there was plenty of space for ball games. The on site club house was reasonably priced and there are local supermarkets. The staff were friendly, from the first phone call through to end of holiday; always happy to help

This is my 3rd visit to Osea Meadows, our family had a great time although the weather could have been better. The park facilities are adequate toilets are clean and tidy with nice hot showers and hot water in the dish wash area.

A new play park has been added as well as with a chemical waste point. The play area is great for the children as are the costal walks, staff are excellent.

It was good to see children playing without the need for computers. A good central location for touring the North Essex coast, we will certainly be back before the end of summer.

We came to the Osea meadows last summer with my husband and 2 children.

We were more than happy with our stay there, the staff were friendly and very helpful.

It was nice to come away for a weekend and to see the children playing in the meadows, on the beach and going for bike rides along the sea wall.

Admittedly the beach isn't that much, but it was more than edequate for us and we were able to sit on their new seating area in between the clubhouse and the sea wall while keeping an eye on the children in the playground and the beach at the same time, which we thought was a nice idea.

I have been told they are planning a new playground in one of the playing fields this spring too which would be good.

This camp site was not what we expected, having booked following their website. The 'meadow' was a field next to a road, adjacent to the main Static Caravan site (quite near a nicer field we were not allowed to camp on. )

The toilets were in portable cabin type things which in themselves were not too bad, but dirty most of the weekend. These were next to an industrial area of some sort. There was often a general smell of sewage.

The nature walks mentioned on the website are not on the camp site but you can walk along the estuary.

The private beach was not good for sandcastles etc. Although if you like boats or have a boat it is good for that. There was a play structure by the clubhouse which was okay, the karaoke etc. Could not be heard from the camping field.

It was not cheap, and we felt we did not get value for money. The staff were polite, although it took a while after mentioning the state of the loos before anything happened.
