 Really helpful landlord

Felt very welcome as a solo female traveller felt very safe as the site was closed for the night and was asked when I needed to leave so it could be opened.

For me.

We rang to check ok to stay. The lady said no problem, but it has been raining & the field is wet, however the landlord has a 4x4 and can tow you if you get stuck.

When we arrived it wasn't too bad and we had no problem.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, excellent beer and food.

We paid £12 for the night, with the use of loos, even when the pub is shut, fresh water tap & chemical disposal.

Only downside is that it is right by a railway line, but not high speed trains. They didn't bother us at all. A good stopover site.

We wanted somewhere close to home for the first weekend of the year, so this fitted the bill perfectly. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and the pub was a proper local. We visited on the first Saturday of the month so there was live music by a local man. We had intended to have a couple of drinks and retire early, but he was so good we stayed all night.

This campsite, at the moment, is basically a field with pretty solar lights between pitches. So if you are self sufficient, it's good value for £10 a night. If you need toilet facilities, you can use the pubs toilets ( very nice, having recently been refurbished) at any time as you can have a key, for a refundable deposit.

There's water from a tap at the side of the pub and waste disposal at the back of the pub.

There is a large children's area in the pub garden, which seemed very popular, but not noisy from the campsite.

There is a small village shop just yards away and a Chinese restaurant along the road. We ate in the pub, which was a very pleasant experience, nothin was too much trouble. They even cooked something that was not on that nights menu, even though they were quite busy.

The closest large town is Bognor Regis which we cycled to and took about 25 mins. Chichester is also close by.

Nice camping area to the rear of the Prince of Wales pub. Flat pitches on grass, marked out by wooden dividers with solar power lamps. WC emptying at the rear of the pub (only accessible when pub is closed), fresh water at exit and key available for toilets if required.

Friendly owners and nice pub with good ales and food. Pub has two gardens, one adult only and one with playground. Dog friendly throughout pub.

Shops about 500m and few miles drive to Chichester, Fontwell and Bognor Regis.

Railway line next to site but didn't disturb us. Would definitely recommend, the price was £10 for a standard pitch (8/10m)which was more than adequate or £15 for a super large pitch. Will be returning next year.

Wifi available in pub, but no electric hook-ups.
