This is our second visit to the Croft and we really like it. A great little CL with a well tendered central grass island and five pitches around. We have a large American RV and David was very relaxed about us setting up and getting ourselves comfortable.

We had EHU and our own water feed so did not generally need to use the facilities although when I did they were more than adequate.

The location is beside a fairly busy rural road - it's not the M25 but it's not a dirt track. I accept if you want total peace and quiet then maybe it's not the place for you. The flight path issue I think depends on wind direction etc. We did not find them intrusive and were sat outside for a lot of the time.

The surrounding area is lovely with Warwick, Hatton Locks and Leamington all within a 20 minute drive. You have shops at Balsall Common which is a 10 minute drive and there are a couple of pubs in walking distance although we didn't use them.

All in all we had a wonderful five days here during Whitsun Half-term and would happily recommend it.

We will be returning in the winter - hardstanding makes it appealing in the winter.

Well I must say after reading some other people reviews I was a bit dubious. When we arrive we where welcomed by a smiling owner. He gave us a card with the barrier number and said I will meet you around the back. Upon entering it looked quite tight to turn (our caravan is a twin axle 29ft) but there was ample room. Drove along there drive to the site that opened up consisting of a level grassed, well mown area with a circle of tarmac and hardstanding coming off.

The owner said take your pick of pitch. Each has it own electric and water there's the toilet block and waste ara over there(unisex toilet block that was very clean and tidy), is that ok and said if we need anything come and ask. There was already another 3 vans there, we pitched up and later went over to pay. We were again welcomed by the owners wife and ask if we where all ok and had a nice chat. We paid the £15 per night fee.

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found this site really well situated for the nec 20min warwick 5min and approx 1 mile away was a canal with lovely walks and pubs along the way. Hatton locks with cafe approx 20 min walk was really worth the visit. True there is some light traffic noise and is aircraft noise in the distance but I would not say it was on the flight path. Prob 10 miles away.

All in all a clean tidy level site that we would def recommend and return to again.

Stayed 4 nights while attending the EFDS Games at Warwick Uni.

Nice clean tidy well laid out site. Secured by electronic gate entry. Owners were helpful and easy going we only saw them on arrival and we went to find them to pay for our stay the day before leaving.

Previous comments about noise from the road and air craft make me think some people must have very sensitive hearing. Yes there is a road near by and yes some air craft flew over but to be hones after an hour we did not notice any of the noises.

Would stay again and recommend the site to others.

And NO I am NOT related to the owners

A well maintained little CL in a good location with plenty to do. Hatton Locks make a lovely walk and are only a few miles up the road. The facilities, although basic, were perfectly adequate and kept acceptably clean. We saw the odd aeroplane in the distance but they were miles away and of no inconvenience to us whatsoever. The site is right by a busy road and there was admittedly some road noise. This didn't particularly concern us but those wanting total peace and tranquillity might be better going elsewhere. We only saw the owners on arrival and later that day when they called to collect their money(!). This seemed a bit keen when we were there for over a week and had hardly put the legs down.

A nice adequate site

We booked three nights here at the last minute as it was the only site in the area with availability. Despite being a small CL the owner had put in hard gravel driveways which meant we could pitch in the rain. There were also EHU and water close to each pitch. We'd read one of the reviews which complained about noise from the road so we weren't surprised to hear very heavy traffic noise. However, we were disappointed that the campsite appears to be on the flight path from Birmingham airport. The noise from planes flying overhead every 10 or 15 minutes was obtrusive and continued through the night. The caravan next to us had 4 large dogs who barked loudly whenever anyone arrived or walked past which was also very annoying. We also got loud music from a night club or disco when the wind blew in the wrong direction on the Saturday night. The constant noise means we won't stay at this site again and we'd be unable to recommend it to others.

If the noise doesn't put you off it is a tidy site (although a kind dog owner had let their dog poo on our pitch without clearing it up) with very basic facilities. The basins and shower have payment meters, however we didn't use them as they didn't produce hot water after our first attempt. A fellow camper did go out in his dressing gown to complain about the shower and the owner managed to get it to work, but I didn't fancy the cold walk so didn't risk it! Beyond showing us our pitch we did not see the owners again during our stay, so we can't comment on their friendliness. There are no facilities for children and the village has no shop, pub or park so not really a great site for kids.

At just £14 a night including EHU it was a very cheap site and it was the perfect location for visiting Warwick castle - where we had 2 fantastic days. But we won't be visiting again.

Nice little site, easy to get to. Good road access about 20 min from m40. The pitches were all hard standing with nice grassy areas in between hard road circle around the site no problem in wet weather.

The toilet block was a little basic but clean and tidy 2 toilets, a shower which was 50p and wash area which you had to pay for hot water 20p. Washing up area and recycling area were all adequate.

Warwick and Kenilworth are not far away 15min in the car. Kenilworth caslte and Warwick castle is well worth a visit. Good cycling, Kenilworth could be reached without using main roads about 5miles also good for shopping. Stratford on Avon and Evesham places of interest to visit

Rural setting very peaceful would go back again.

Pretty site, basic facilities. Mixed sex toilet block comprising 2 toilets, 1 shower and 2 sink cubicles. Shower costs 50p for about 9 mins and hot water costs 20p for about 7 mins. One sink for washing up-rather shabby. Toilet block clean although not for women who don't like sharing with men who leave the seat up!

Caravan pitches have hard standing area and grass area. Medium sized tent area (all grass) next to caravan area. All pitches are near to the toilet block so no long treks to the loo in the night! Good drainage.

Electrical hook up for caravans AND tents. We paid £10 a night including electrical hook up for our large tunnel tent - very reasonable. Owners are very keen on recycling so be prepared to sort through your rubbish!

Only real problem with this site is the very busy dual carriageway right next to the site. It's fine if you go out during the day, although we got woken up early with the noise. It is very noisy although quieter and less frequent at night. Wear earplugs! The site also has some aeroplane noise.

Dual carriageway means good road links to Warwick (5 miles), Stratford (15 miles) and Coventry (15 miles), so really handy for tourist attractions.
