Our third visit to this excellent caravan club cl site. Great value for money for 6 of us and our large caravan with full awning. Flat field with plenty of room and good facilities for a cl site.
Good walking onto river wall and into Burnham.
Kids loved park in Burnham and boat watching.
Maldon Prom is a drive away and worth a visit though gets very busy.
A fantastic site for relaxing and the best value for money of any site we have visited.
We will be back.

I`m writing as the owner of Burnham Wick Farm CL, in response to the review written by one of our guests during this month and I`d like to clarify a few points. We pride ourselves on the tranquillity and peacefulness of our farm and to make life simpler for Caravanners, we have a very comprehensive Information Room on site. Every possible piece of information about the Farm, facilities and surrounding areas are clearly displayed and to date, we have received many compliments on how useful this is. We purposely don`t come around the CL to collect payments (as explained in the Information Room) as it often disrupts mealtimes, guests sleeping or no-one is in the unit. To date, this has been welcomed by our carvanners and hasn`t seemed to be a problem. Most people pop into the farmhouse to introduce themselves when arriving and we have a chat then and answer any questions.
We hope that this clarifies any misunderstandings that the review may generate.
Best wishes
Adrienne Smith (Mrs)

We stayed at this very nice CL for 2 nights, its a very quiet site on a very large farm, but the workings of the farm don't interfere with the campsite, you can get a good satellite signal as well, the grass could of done with a cut but it was not a problem.
The 1 toilet was ok but would not want to use the shower.
The site is dog friendly and there are lots of nice walks, you can walk into Burnham along the sea wall where there are plenty of tea rooms pubs and restaurants.
The owner did not come round to us at all to tell us where anything was and we had to go to the farm house to pay just before we left.
Overall we had a nice relaxing weekend and would stay here again.

Lovely quiet site in perfect surroundings, just right for long solitary walks along the estuary or countryside.
The site only takes 5 units with loads of space between and there are no extra hidden charges on awnings/dogs etc. A wonderfully warm welcome and then we were left in the peace we had hoped for. There is an old mobile home on site full of tourist info and the one loo and shower are perfectly adequate.
Its about a 20 minute level walk into the quaint town of Burham On Crouch with plenty of pubs/take-aways and a couple of supermarkets.
If its peace and quiet you want then this hits the nail, but do book in advance because its getting more and more popular with only limited space.

What a gem of a site!
We spent a blissful week here, enjoying splendid views through paddocks of playful horses across to the river Crouch. The farm is vast and supports a great network of footpaths and bridleways.
The town is a short walk away, either by road or down the sea wall. At the end of a long walk an ice cold drink beside the harbour is perfect. With so many walks and a beautiful little town to hand the car was all but redundant!
As luck would have it, we arrived during 'Burnham Week' and were treated to daily yacht races.
During our stay there was a regular turnover of units but, despite having only one shower and one loo, we never had to queue. The facilities were always immaculately clean and the information room was well stocked.
This is a site we will gladly revisit - if only because our dogs were clearly depressed at having to leave it!

We stumbled across this Caravan club cl site by accident and now intend to stay there whenever in the area. It is a cl site so only 5 units at a time so we will book ahead just to be on the safe side.
The facilities are basic - hook up and water in the camping field and a toilet and shower in the nearby barns. Though basic these are above and beyond the minimum requirements for a cl site and made the stay much more comfortable as our camper didn't have a shower.
The camping field is comfortably large and there is a static caravan that is used as a reading/information room.
There are some lovely walks from the campsite and we often walked out onto the river side and into Burnham-on-Crough where we found enough to do for the kids and to relax watching the boats. There are pubs in the town and on the water front and shops to restock. We tried, and enjoyed, the chippy (not the one closest to the site but the chippy further up the main road).
For the more adventurous the riverside path going east takes you all the way round the Bradwell. We cycled this there and back and that was a good challenging day out.
We will certainly we visiting again and again.

Spent a 6 night stay here. Absolutely perfect stay. Site more than adequate size. Single toilet and shower facility which was enough. So peaceful will definitely visit again, haven't stopped raving to my friends about it. I am a single person and had my two dogs with me and felt completely safe. As soon as I arrived Adrienne made me feel welcome. Camping paddock directly behind farm next to horse field. The horses were wonderful to watch galloping around. Also Alpacas at front of farm which were delightful. I walked into the very quaint village (about 20mins), you just have to see the cinema! Also a shop that sold sweets from jars! There is a small Tesco open til 11pm and plenty of restaurants and pubs. I thoroughly recommend this site.

We found this to be a good, clean and interesting site. The site is a good sized field, there were 4 caravans and 1 motorhome on site during our visit, and there was plenty of room.
The toilet and shower are single units, but both were very clean with all sorts of cleaners, bleaches and hand washes available.
I believe the owners have put a lot of time and effort into making this a more than adequate site.
The village is about a 15 minute walk away, or a 3 minute drive. There were ample eateries, pubs, shops etc.
There is a pleasant walk along the river bank,
All in all, a very good site in a quite nice area, with plenty to do, and also a very relaxing place if that is your thing.
Excellent, and well recommended.

Quiet Caravan Club CL tucked away in a largish paddock at the rear of the farm. However route to camping field is clearly signed through the farm. Single toilet and single shower can be found a short walk away across the yard. Nothing special but clean and more than adequate.
There is electric hookup.
The CL is apparently very busy. The weekend we were there the 5 pitches were always taken.
Horses in the field next door kept coming to say hello. There are also llamas and alpacas.
Good walking in the area. We walked into Burnham and back along the sea wall, very enjoyable.
Only one downside, the number of mossies and other biting things that come out after dark. If you are going to sit outside with friends then serious measures need to be taken if you don't want to end up being dinner.
All in all very nice. We will return.

Very pleasant and peaceful site, clean facilities, lovely walks, has shops just a short drive away with all you need to make your stay a good one. The horses are still in the field directly adjoining the camping field which I found just wonderful, they all were galloping about the field one morning which was a fantastic sight indeed. It's a dog friendly camp, I took 6 little dogs along and they were welcome, all in all a nice site and one I would go back to for sure.
