Very close to Borth and amenities Including a PINK pub which has a lovely outlook onto the beach. Look out for the great cafe on the main street South before you get to the arcade. No hills to walk up unlike most of the other campsites in the area. Basic camp site on flat ground with clean but worn out looking facilities. In May we had a whole field to ourselves. Woke up by the monkeys at the Animalariam next door. Aberystwyth is a short drive away with a fantastic steam railway to Devils Bridge. Look out for the Red Kite's. Short walk up the beach to inyslas wide open beach with losts of sand dunes. Take your Rock pool gear with you.

Trip Date April 2005. Excellent, basic site. The first site my wife and I camped was here and we enjoyed it a great deal. The toilets are basic, but there are showers and washing up facilities so it's not that bad. A few minutes to the beach and no uphill struggles like campers at other sites in the area may experience.
Downside - being flat, Borth can have drainage problems on the flat; I wouldn't take a caravan on this site in very wet periods and would leave the car by the toilet block if using a tent - they will tow you out of the mud if you ask, but it is a working farm may take some time.
Next door to the site is a small Zoo, so if you get woken up by strange sounds, it's probably just the leopard's morning call. There's a nice walk up to the nearby church, where you can continue on to the main road. Nighttime, there's plenty of eating/drinking places within easy walking distance.

What a great affordable place for a weekend break. To us, camping is all about walking and roughing it. This place had it all. The owners don't bother you at all, there's free hot showers, camping on a good bed of flat soil (considering that Borth itself is on top of slate rock!) and the campsite is regularly cleaned of all litter left by those that are mindless toward the countryside. Beach and village centre to all amenities only 10 mins walk. Train station only 15 mins walk and great views of the Ceredigion mountains. Just the issue of maybe updating the shower/toilet block and they will have a winner for kindred campers that REALLY like to get away from it all. Thumbs up.

Pleasant site but VERY basic. Toilet facilities are barely adequate, but are relatively clean. The site is quite exposed and would certainly benefit from some shelter being provide around it to shield campers from the ever present wind! All in all, for the prices they charge it is not too bad.
