 Just spent 9 relaxing nights on this beautiful and well cared for site. The site was quieter than usual due to the wet weather conditions prior to our arrival. The exceptionally large pitch was flat and well drained even though a heavy rainful when we were pitching.
Electric and water next to each individual pitch, the toilet and washing block were always immaculate and are well set out with washing and drying areas in same building. The owners have a restaurant and takeaway, great for chips to go with the barbie.
The restaurant was a nice change from cooking but the food was average. There is a beautiful lake to walk around or great if you like fishing. The town of boussac is close by in a car and there is a small selection of restaurants,the pizza emporium also do takeaway pizza. Our meal there was very good but you might need to book or get there earlier as the french don't like to stay up late. There is a market every thursday in boussac.
We had family members there at the same time staying in the owners static caravans. Their stay was exceptionally good due to the pitch and newness of the van. The younger members made good use of the swimming pool.
The only criticism was the gates are locked between 9-10pm. So if you leave the site you have to leave the car at the main entrance.

Stayed on this site for two weeks during our summer holiday in France. The site is beautiful, very well maintained and landscaped. We had a pitch which overlooked the lake and the gorgeous fairy castle chateau. The toilet/ shower block is first class and was always clean. There is a small shop on site and you can order fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. The site is only a couple of miles from the village of Boussac which has two supermarkets and a weekly market.
Although we have child free holidays these days, I did note that the play area, trampoline and bouncy castle were well used as was the swimming pool. My husband needed to see a Doctor for an infected insect bite he managed to acquire and the site owner was really helpful in contacting the local doctor for an appointment and providing us with a map to get there. We will definitely go again.

Very attractive site. We had pitch overlooking lake, lovely views. Wash block one of best we've seen. Cleaned regularly and very spacious. Swimming pool lovely with wonderful views.Staff welcoming.Didn't use shop so can't comment. Nearby town Boussac Bourg has interesting old quarter with chateau. Georges Sand , the write has associations with it.Footpath to the town from site, about 2 to 3 miles. Follow signs to lovely peaceful Abbaye off road on left from Boussac Bourg to site,we picnicked there. It is used for Art and Music venues at times.Would return for longer stay to explore area further. A Castels site.
