Lovely site. I agree with others comments about the approach, but once on the site it is lovely. We stayed as a stop over before catching the ferry and wished we had stayed longer. Space for the children to run and play, toilets basic but clean. Very relaxing.

Co op down the road for supplies.

We used the train to go to the Historic Dockyard. Excellent day out if a little pricey at £72 for a family ticket.

Great site.

As a couple (no children to entertain but a crazy dog) we loved this site, it was secluded, quiet and pretty.

The big field, with mature trees, was well kept and very level. No hard standing in field but good electric hook-ups.

The washrooms with two toilets and two showers were spotless and newly painted and as close as you wanted them, or you could choose to be across the field. A large sink for washing up is next door - take your kettle.

Friendly owners, with lots of suggestions for places to visit if you needed them.

A good central base for exploring Bosham, Chichester, Kingley Vale and lots of pretty villages.

Agree with all the last contributor says plus this site is ideally located with loads to see and do within a short drive or train trip.

Nutbourne station is a 10 minute walk away with regular connections to Chichester (6 mins) and Portsmouth (20 mins).

The site is in an old orchard and probably best suited to couples or families with smaller children.

I felt as if I was on the set of the Darling Buds of May but that only added to the charm of the site.

The rates are very reasonable - we paid £11 for pitch and EHU! - showers were excellent and I can definitely recommend this site.

I thought I’d submit this review as there wasn’t a recent one.

I can only re-iterate previous comments – yes, bumpy lane, yes cows moo early in the morning, yes lots of bunnies running around.

This lovely site is off the beaten track surrounded by countryside, so what would I expect?

A picturesque setting perhaps?. Within an orchard: plum trees, apple trees, pear trees plus lots lots more I’m sure.

A really secluded and peaceful site

Clean and simple toilets and showers - lots of hot water and good water pressure.

Lovely, friendly and helpful site owner who stayed up late to greet us after getting the late ferry back from France – nothing was too much trouble despite the rain.

I can’t comment on the surrounding area as we used the site as a stopover to France. , but will definitely use again on future trips.

Oh, and no noise from the train as they’re all electric.

So, if you're looking for night life, late night bars and excitement this is not the site for you, but if it's tranquillity, nature, privacy or a stop-over for the Portsmouth ferries, this site is good value and just 20 mins from the port.

We would definitely use again - I might even add an extra couple of wind-down days on next time to enjoy this site to it's full potential.

After heading north and encountering their worst rains for a while we went home to dry off then headed for this site. What a gem. Lovely lady running it, but we hardly saw her.

The site was in an orchard, we pitched in a corner and had a hugely private time, we never saw the other occupants at all. The cows did moo through one night but they had just had their calves taken away.

We sat out at night to watch the bats at dusk, lovely. The showers are clean and hot, the toilet clean. The approach was a gravel track, bit bumpy and the site was gated.

Would definitely go again. Lots to see in the area.

The approach to this road is up an uneven drive, and the caravan was bumped around a little going up it, at the end of the drive you enter the site via 2 gates.

The field was well kept and the pitches were all level, with plenty of bunnies running around.

We didn't hear any trains whilst on site, but the cows in the next field do start with their moo-ing at 5am.

The toilets/showers were housed in the outbuildings of the owners house, 2 toilets and 2 showers, although both rather old, all were kept clean, although I'm not sure of the location of one of the toilets, as the door was right next to the dishwashing area, and it was a bit uncomfortable washing my breakfast pots with someone 6 feet away

Good site, and well priced, we would return, but must mention one thing that was a little worrying, on the approach drive, there is a field that had pigs and goats in, but also had at least 5 dogs in, each time you walk past the jack russels run up to the gate barking, and on two occasions managed to get under the gate and into the lane, this worried a couple of people as the signs did say 'these dogs do bite'.

What a lovely site! We were there over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend and have had the loveliest time.

The Ground was flat and well drained (admittedly it hadn't rained very much in the couple of weeks before).

We had an Electric hookup so were restricted to one side of the field, but we managed to pitch in a lovely bit between a hedge and a large bush so we had a bit of shelter and privacy.

The toilets / showers were good, basic but clean and well stocked. There is a dish washing area, but it only has cold water, so be prepared to boil the kettle or have something to transfer hot water from the sink in the toilets or the showers.

It's located about 700m from the road down a gravel track so nicely secluded and secure as there are a couple of gates between the site and the road. It is about half a mile from a train line, but it is by no means intrusive, after the 1st train you don't even hear it!

There is a train station about half a mile away and you can get a train from there to Chichester or Portsmouth easily.

There is also a small post office shop about 500m up the main road, good for cold drinks and such like.

Didn't see much of the site owners, but on the 1st night he very kindly jump started the car as we had a flat battery! Not everyone will help like that!

Overall this site is well worth a visit if you are Camping and Caravan Club members.

We have been to this site a number of times and have been meaning to go back since our last visit. The site is great, peaceful, tucked up out of the way with basic yet clean facilities, but for the price you cant go wrong,

The owners are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The only down side is the entrance drive up to the gate is down a very (and I mean very) bumpy drive with lots of pot holes and bumps in the road, if you are going to visit take it very slowly, but it is worth it when you get to the gate!

This site is a hide away site, it is run by a lovely couple, Derek and Joan Entkinape.

There are free shower's, eletric hook is included in the price per night, and there is a chemical disposal area. Fresh water, washing up area.

The ground is mostly level.

There is a small post office-shop 2 minutes up the road and The Barley Mow public house where you can get an excellent meal. There is also a farm shop along the road, were you can buy local produce.

We enjoy going to Coombe Leigh because it is quiet and you could be any where.

It is not far from Chichester, Bosham Harbour.
