I was sooo looking forward to staying at this site. It was promised as quiet, friendly and perfect for a relaxing weekend - and the first night it was - everyone on the small wooded site said Hi! Patrick kindly helped us and others down to the site with our stuff (you park the car about 5mins away from the woods) and we all had our own fire - it was lovely. However the next day when we were out and about - the moronic idiotic campers which we all hope to avoid turned up and camped across our pitch. I was so upset I nearly cried. After a quick conflab with Patrick he offered us a quiet corner of his field for the one night we had left - No loos, but blissful peace - What a man.

In short, if you need showers, running water, ehu, flusing toilets -this place it not for you.

If you want to be on a beautiful basic site (normally) friendly and quiet, that is a mile outside of a fully equipped town and 15mins from the local pub and don't mind a walk to the campsite, then this is place for you.

We will be going back !

This is a really lovely new site. If you like basic camping and being close to nature this is definitely the place to go. The woods are lovely and the animals friendly. Make sure you have insect repellent as there is a stream for biting insects to breed in.

Wendy and Patrick who run the farm are an inspiration, an example of people really making a dream a reality and living it.

The facilities are really basic but if you don't mind that you'll have a great time, we did.

The tents are tucked away in a wooded valley. The children played all day happily making dens and checking out the badger holes. It was so great not to have the cars near us, we felt totally cut off from our working week, and the organic cafe was an added bonus. The children enjoyed collecting the eggs with Patrick.

We walked down to the local pub one night, which was unexpectedly amazing, the food is fabulous!

Being able to have a camp fire was a special treat,we loved it !

You'll see us again very soon. Many Thanks
