 Lovely quiet spot. Peaceful. Well sheltered by mature trees. Clean and efficient ablution block.
Shame the Blue Rabbit café wasn't open, but it is September.
I have given a relatively low score for customer service because I never met Claire!
The entire transaction took place on line, which is a shame; efficient, but it rather dehumanises the whole experience.
It's always nice to meet the local host.

Lovely small quiet campsite, we liked having allocated pitches. Beware - in the pitches next to the smallholding, the resident chickens are very cheeky and will try to steal food from off your plate or even once from off our barbeque!
But it entertained the children trying to chase them away, and we loved meeting the resident cat who came to join us for a game of cards one evening.
Nice toilet block, firepits and picnic benches to hire, thoughtful and pretty planting and landscaping around the site, lots to do nearby, no noisy groups - we loved it and we're planning to go again next year.
Also to note if you have small children - the playground and football field is a short walk from the tents, which is great for older kids but with little ones an adult would need to hang around with them in the playground because you can't keep an eye on them from your pitch.

This is a beautiful campsite with very clean facilities.
Claire, the owner, is lovely and generous with her time if you have queries.
The animal feeding on the smallholding is a hit with the kids too.
It's busy for the bank holiday weekend so not super peaceful but we wouldn't expect this either.
Also relatively expensive, but we think it is definitely worth it!

Another amazing camping trip to Suffolk.
Spacious pitch backing on to the small holding.
Great being able to use campsite fridges and makes meal planning easier.
We also tried Claire's wood fired pizza which was delicious.

A nice quiet rural campsite in a small village with a pub nearby (not open every day).
2 toilet/shower (free) blocks; showers and toilets were clean. Fridge, freezer and phone charging points available for campers.
Facilities were perfectly adequate for me as a solo cycle camper for £12. I would happily stay there again.

The site was fine.
The showers & toilet blocks are clean. Nice location and large pitches. Central for exploring Suffolk. Internet connection in that locations is pretty rubbish though.
The site café is currently shut with no fixed date on its reopening.
The local pub is very nice and the food is good but it is closed on Mondays and only open for the forenoon on Tuesdays.

We go here each year and love it. We set up camp which is next to a line of trees. Put up a kids hammock and swing and our children play, climb, make friends and have a lovely time.
They may also go to the on-site park. We can sit back, chat to others or catch up on reading. Wednesdays Claire does a fun walk around her small-holding including feeding the animals.
Friday evenings she makes pizza from a pizza oven on site - book in advance.
Our dogs also enjoy snuffling around (on their leads) and walks off-site along the pathways.
There is a co-op not far - our oldest likes to walk there.
When in the area we do a variety of things - visit Sutton Hoo, visit Shingle beach for a swim, visit Landguard fort (lovely cafe there).
Visit Ramsholt to watch the boats and go crabbing and lots more.

This was our third visit to Shottisham Campsite and another brilliant stay. It’s an excellent, charming, friendly, clean, quiet campsite with great facilities including a pizza cafe which serves the most delicious pizzas.
The showers and toilets are clean and I love that they have good quality environmentally friendly toilet roll. There are also fire pits to hire and logs to purchase, along with animal feeding with Claire.
We go as a group with children and it feels safe and friendly, it’s also brilliant there is a great pub to walk to along with great local attractions too!
We highly recommend this campsite.

We could not speak more highly of this campsite.
It was everything you could ever want. Picturesque, quiet, relaxed, family friendly, fire pits, great shower block, animals, play park next to it and a great location for exploring.
Claire was so lovely and helpful and we loved the chickens coming to say goodbye as we were packing up.
Perfect place for young and old alike!

Very enjoyable couple of days, an ideal campsite for children.
Site felt very safe, the owner Claire took all the children to feed and pet the farm animals which the kids loved doing.

Wonderful stay. Facilities first class and clean. Very peaceful, no radios playing at all.
Loved the natural feeling to the site. The hens looked in top class condition nice and plump, I asked one if she wanted to come home with us and join us for Sunday Lunch but she turned me down!
Situated about half way between Sutton Hoo and the coast so easy cycling.

Lovely relaxed quiet campsite. Nice big pitches. In a beautiful Suffolk village. Next door to a pub - only open Thursday to Sunday evenings but still.
Great walks out from the site. Very dog friendly.
Great showers. Lots of trees for shade in the hot weather. Free range eggs regularly for sale.
Just a short drive to shingle beaches at Bawdsey and Shingle Street, or Woodbridge for shops, or Orford for a wander.
Had a great time!

Wanted a site not too from us to test our new tent. And my niece and her husband stayed in their tent for two night with their little boy who is autistic.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the site, it was in a rural location and the access road was by no means busy. The pitches were nice and big and nicely laid out.
The uni-sex shower and toilet blocks that we used were clean. We didn't use the waste bins, we took our rubbish with us, so we don't know what recycling streams were available.
The only possible negative was the site wi-fi which we found very difficult to get onto. The owner told us she would look into resolving this matter.
All in all a very good site that we would return to.

First time for me on this site, midweek visit so cheaper than normal. But still, for a single tent/motorcycle (and my circumstances) I wouldn't have liked to pay more, but that's just me.
The area we were assigned to is quite secluded by trees all around so not so much sun for us, the upside was that we were more sheltered from the wind.
In the evenings we took our chairs and drinks to the play area where it was still nice and sunny. It would have been nice if there was a picnic table/seat in the middle of our area.
Overall the site was well maintained and tidy but our toilet block showed little signs of it being cleaned while there and one sink was out of action.
