 Having left booking our camping trip to the last possible minute it was proving near impossible to find a campsite that allowed campfired and BBQ's.
Housedean farm was kind of a last resort and one I am happy to say paid off. After contacting the site I could rest knowing it was finally booked and sorted.
Upon arrival the site was clean, and not overly packed with other campers.
The pitch at the top if the hill was reserved for us and the campsite owner even carted the firewood up for us (twice).
The only downside I would say is that the wind up there was strong, continuous and very cold. Having noticed we forgot the most vital piece of camping equipment (no, not the tent) the bottle opener, they loaned us one and saved the whole experience.
Overall I would definitely recommend Housedean farm and look forward to going back!
