 It's very basic, no toilets, showers or playground. It's also very small, only 16 pitches. But it's lovely lovely and I'd go back again.
The site is very leafy and nicely laid out, ie not just a field with caravans around the outside. The pitches are grass and numbered with EHU points dotted around. There's a circular road that the kids cycled around on and some hedges/ woods around the outside that they played in. There's also a resident duck that seems to find a sunny spot and settle down for the day.
It IS next to the main road into Alresford but we didn't notice any road noise. It also makes it an easy 5/10 minute walk into Alresford, which is a nice town for browsing and shopping. There's a Tesco Express and Co-op plus a couple of bakers, a greengrocers and a butchers. We went to the Horse and Groom pub for Sunday carvery which I'd recommend (but book as it was busy!) and there's also a Pizza Express in town.
If you come out of the campsite back onto the main road (which is a tree-lined avenue), turn left and left again, it takes you into a park where my kids enjoyed the zip wire and swings etc. It's only a few minutes away. If you carry on walking to the bottom you can walk along the river into Alresford. It's a gorgeous walk and you need to take some bread for the ducks.
I really couldn't fault the site. It does say not for tents but I'm not sure why that would be. The lady in charge isn't around so you have to call her if you have any questions. We paid £11 a night with EHU and staying in a folding camper.
