A beautiful quiet and secluded site,
You need your own facilities although there is a toilet.
We only stayed one night but received the warmest of welcomes,
Lovely site, lovely people.

Cannot recommend this site enough one of the best 5 van sites we have ever been in.
Lovely friendly helpful people and a beautiful quiet spot our dogs loved it as well. They have even carved a seating area out of
Trees like a fairy ring and superb value for money. Cant wait to go back Jan

A beautiful and peaceful site run by some lovely folk.
We turned up late and in the dark and were thrilled to wake up to such a lovely site.
We had a great day walking around the neighbouring villages and sampling what the local pubs had to offer.
Would highly recommend.

First time camping and could not have chosen a better camp site to begin with.
Good facilities and David and Jackie were fabulous, nothing too much trouble. Surroundings beautiful, can't wait to stay there again for longer next time.
Thank you David and Jackie for making my stay wonderful and we can't forget Sidney what a brilliant friendly dog.

A group of approx 20 of us stayed at Clyde's for a birthday weekend. Lovely quiet location just on the fringe of West Chiltington. David and Jenny (and their family) were excellent hosts and all guests thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The site itself is sheltered from by surrounding trees and nearby woodland and in a great area to walk directly onto the South Downs or to several good local pubs.
We spent the Saturday afternoon at the local cricket club which was also most welcoming.
While the facilities are simple there were good bbqs plus wood burners and logs available and the site was perfect for tents - nice long grass and no stones.
Highly recommend

We are new to backpack camping and this was our first trip so we have nothing to compare it to. Having said that we had a warm welcome at the site.
Everything was clean and well maintained. Toilet and fresh water were all we needed but the fire pit was a lovely extra. Relaxed atmosphere in beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
Some of the roads nearby are a bit narrow for walking (no footpath).
We had the camping field to ourselves.

We spent the bank holiday weekend at Clydes (6m camper, 2 adults, 2 dogs). Very friendly welcome and the hosts were lovely. They are very dog friendly and the horses loved a fuss.
The site itself was spotless and mostly flat. Facilities are as stated in the description - we didn't use them as we're self contained and only there for 2 nights. There's no EHU as yet but the weather was stunning so we got ample solar.
There's loads of walking from the site (OS app on phone came in handy / good 4g signal) through the villages with views across to the downs.
We ate in the Queens Head in the village (10-15 minute walk / drinks a bit pricey) and had a couple of drinks in the White Lion in Thakeham (30-40 min walk but worth it).
There's a Nisa in the village, plus Storrington (Waitrose) Pulborough (Sainsbury's) are nearby.
We thought Clydes was exactly what we were after - a lovely, quiet, no frills campsite in a cracking part of Sussex, and we will definitely return soon. Regards, Cyril.
