 Excellent small site behind village square in Strontian.
One night stay at start of Ardnamurchran/Mull trip
Back of hedge by some residential houses
Good pitch spacing, breeze to keep midgies away,
Decent quality facilities and well looked after
Only one shower but still cleaned off my hillwalking sheen.
Additional bothy area for relaxing/fridge freezer/ borrowing books etc
Enjoyable quick stay only couple minutes from village shop/cash machine and nearby play park.

Quiet location within walking distance of village.
Pitch prices reasonable, Staff friendly and helpful
The facilities are ok Toilet/ shower block( free shower), Laundry area. There's a communal lounge type area with fridge and log burner and a nice decking BBQ Area. Only minor point lack of sockets in communal areas for charging phones. Was a bit surprised to find the local shop shuts at 5:30pm, so either bring provisions with you or get in there early.
Nearby eating out at The Bothy only a small Bar and dining area,
Gets booked up very quickly so suggest book well in advance.
The sites a nice place to chill but remember to come with your food, as shopping options limited.

Campsite with hardstanding hook ups, plus tent and pods to hire. Showers and toilets needed a good clean. Also had a bothy area for residents very good idea but needed a bit of tlc. Ate at the Strontian hotel, good basic food and local beer on tap

Just returned from our first but certainly not our last visit to this site. Tim & Lynn provide a warm friendly welcome to this family run site. The pitches are generous and well draining thank goodness as we didn't have the best weather.
This is an excellent location for touring the area either by foot, bicycle or by car.
The village has well stocked shops, a tourist information centre and a pub all within 5-10 min walk.
If you choose to spend your holiday under canvas this site has thought of everything that will make life easier for those touring with limited equipment. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle & drying room. The bothy provides an indoor area away from the rain or you can have a BBQ and sit on the decking.
My only very small negative is that the grey water and the elsan point is shared and raised up so ideally you need to empty your grey water more frequently otherwise it may be too cumbersome to lift up.
We will definitely be back

Called in for a night while touring on the new bike,
What a great place. Tim (owner ) was friendly and helpful, mind he is a fellow yorkshire man. Site facilities are spotless, the Bothy is great to relax and have a coffee. Tent pitches are level and sheltered. The cabins look great if you want a break from the tent and Tims wife ( Lynn I think ) has a small craft gift shop on site with some lovely gift ideas.
The village is a short walk and the pub/hotel does great food and wounderful views of the Loch and maybe the odd otter. If you have time hire a bike from the site and have a ride up the Sunart forest trails ( easy-med ) its well worth it.
Cant wait to make a return visit.

Spent a very enjoyable week at Sunart Campsite in Strontian Ardnamurchan, we had stayed in this site afew years ago it was very basic. Now the owners have brought it up to date, the site is well spacedwith anmple room for motorhomes, caravanswith good space between bays. Tap for water nearhand, next part is for the tents which again was very good, the site is nice and clean and is maintained to a high standard, there is male&female toilets which have a shower in both of them, if I was being a bit picky a couple more showers wouldn't go amiss, there is a microwave and fridge & freezer which can be used by all. A nice touch is a dog shower which comes in handy, there is a patio area with access to barbecues, and a nice room for relaxing, reading and todry wet clothes, oh I forgot there is also a washing machine &dryer the owners have rally thought of everything for the camper, thereis access to free wifi, and the local shop which is well stocked is minutes away, all and all it was a great holiday and myself and husband would definitely return.

A quick review of an awesome campsite.
Not a big commercial affair but a small friendly site with nice owners.
Tim & Lynn have only being going for a couple of seasons, after huge investment in the facilities and revamping the whole campsite.
(Please note old reviews which relate to the old owners. )
Not really a child friendly campsite as there are no kids *Areas*, which in my opinion is a great thing as we do not have kids and prefer a quiet site.
The campsite consists of hard standings for caravans / motorhomes with electric hookup and lovely flat and well drained grass for tents.
Tim and Lynn have also designed and built, excellent cabins which include fold out beds, bunk beds, heated flooring, microwave, cups, dishes etc.
Midges could be an issue in high season when the wind drops (but everywhere in the west coast is the same).
Located in the small village of Strontian, 5 min elk from Shop / cafe, 10 min walk from Hotel / pub. Fuel at Post office on main road.
I would highly recommend this campsite and will be back to enjoy the friendly hospitality.

Spent a night here en route to The Isle of Mull.
A great little site. Friendly and helpful owners. Hard standing pitches and a quiet location. Clothes washing and drying facilities available. They even have a microwave to enable food to be heated. An excellent touch.
There is also a 'bothy' where weary wet walkers can sit, relax and read.
Shower / washing facilities are basic but clean.
The local shop is well stocked. You can buy everything from meat to a chain saw!

This is a cracking little site, we used it as a 2 night stopover and wished we could stay longer, owners were incredibly good in fact I had asked colleagues to send on mail for me which they happily dealt with for me, facilities immaculate. 5 mins walk to the strontian hotel, bothy bar worth a visit for a pint with the locals and food pretty decent as well. 5 mins to a great little cafe with proper scottish breakfast on offer. I will be coming back. The campers room looks great. Stunning part of the world with lots on offer

This was our 2nd stop on our tour of West Scotland [4 nights] and was ideally located for touring Fort William and Lochaber districts. Well signed, good dry hard standing for caravans and motor homes. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
The toilet/shower block was exceptionally well appointed, spotlessly clean and even had free hair dryers. The microwave in the laundry area was most welcome when cooking outdoors was curtailed due to the inclement weather during the last 2 days. The bothy looked a comfortable space for those that camp under canvas. They even provided Fairy washing up liquid, pot scrubbers and scourers for the washing up area - however, there didn't seem to be anybody available to dry my pots and pans!
Well equipped shop, busy pub/inn and tourist information very close by. Good walks available and for those with dogs, they provided a dog washing area [with shampoo] and poop bags.
We found the whole area stunningly beautiful even in the rain.
As with all of Scotland, there were midges so come prepared.
Whilst fuel is available at the post office, it comes at a cost.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, assisted by useful advice from the owner.
