 This campsite is in the village of Strontian. There is a very good shop in the village selling pretty much everything.
The campsite itself is a narrow strip of land with almost level pitches. There is one shower in the gents and two toilets.
It says on website that there is a fridge freezer here but there is not one to be seen anywhere.
The place is a bit rough and run down but for £10 a night for a tent one person it was acceptable.

Fairly quiet, level site with basic but clean facilities.
Owners are very friendly.
Well stocked grocery store and craft shops nearby.
Handy for exploring Ardnamurchan peninsula.

In Summary
- a basic quiet site, level pitches and the sound of a lovely wee burn close by
- facilities basic but clean and only one shower (I didn’t have to wait as the site was very quiet but I can imagine that it’s not enough when the site is at capacity
- Strontian Hotel 5 minute walk away (we didn’t use this as it was unexpectedly closed but the view from this would be great on a lovely day
- conveniently located on route to Lochaline ferry to Mull (which is why we chose it)
We’d definitely use this site again! Hopefully our weather will be better next time!

I can only repeat what the last few reviewers have said, a very good welcome from the owner, well kept, roomy pitches even if a few are overlooked by nearby houses - probably more of a problem for the householders than the campers.
The facilities were spotlessly clean if a bit dated although I do have to agree that they could do with a few more cubicles for the size of site.
A very convenient stopover on the way to the Mull ferry at Lochaline.

Great location ( albeit amongst houses but this not an issue ) and beautifully quiet site. You and the birds tweeting. All you need on a site though facilities really do need a bit of an update- women’s shower worked but had a hole in the floor that was a bit off putting.
Toilets themselves fine but just a bit of a spruce up as does tiling at washing up.
Great base for walks up to fantastic view of Loch Sunart and into the community wood.
One of those places that had a good vibe!

Friendly welcoming staff. Good size pitches.
Nice clean facilities but only one shower per gender is a bit of a limitation for size of site.

Small site with good layout and plenty private space.
Lovely views and local walks.
Always like a covered outdoor pot wash area - it was never too busy.

Spent a night here on our way to Mull via the Kilchoan ferry.
A lovely friendly comfortable and relaxed site.
Good sized pitches well trimmed grass, a nice pleasant place to stay.
Facilities were fine and clean if a little dated.
The owner was very helpful and friendly,
Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed a few nights at the back end of August. It's a lovely little site, in a great location. Near to shops and a bar.
Initially booked a pitch for my tent but, having had a few issues with my really old and completely inadequate tent and getting soaked on my first night, I asked if any of their little pod /hut thingies were available. One was free so I stayed in there for the remaining 2 nights.
Nothing flash but warm and a comfortable bed. Luxury, after the crappy, almost hyperthermic first night in the tent.
I will definitely return, either with a new tent or to stay in the little hut.
Plus, they have a lovely Border Terrier, and I am a sucker for BT's.

Friendly, clean, quiet, well maintained site with good facilities.
Perfect overnight stop in beautiful location, only a few minutes walk to the loch.
Hotel, shop and cafe also a few minutes walk away.
Only slight criticism is lack of water power in showers.
