We have just spent a few days with friends at this newly opened site, which has been opened recently. It is a work in progress, and we had a friendly welcome, from a family who clearly have not let set backs dampen their desire to set up a camp site with a difference. We stayed in one of the two 'hot tub' pitches that overlooks the lake, superb and sensibly priced. We plan to travel back again later in the year to see the progress. Some of the site is obviously in development, but the (temporary) toilet blocks were superb. EHU and water and grey waste on every pitch. The wildlife visiting the lake was superb. They have plans to extend the lake and create a farm shop and bistro. There is work in progress, but not too noisy, and it will eventually be a gem. I believe the owners have plans to increase the number of pitches with hot tubs in the future. The area is surrounded by farm land and was peaceful, but we were there 'off peak'. There are plans to get a bus stop set up outside the main entrance which is on the main road between Aberystwyth and Cardigan. We got a taxi (Pete's) who took us to New Quay and back at a cost of £6 for an adult. Door to door stuff again good value for money. My wife has been following the family and their journey on Facebook. They have some guts, and continue to fight against bureaucrats. When mature this will, I am sure, be a delightful spot, with a difference.
