 This site is in a brilliant location and the owners are friendly and helpful, but I can't agree with previous comments about the showers.
During our weeks stay over Easter there were problems with the water running out, and to be honest I don't think the showers were cleaned at all during our stay. There is also no extraction in the showers so your clothes are quite damp by the end of it.
The block is very tired and could do with an update or failing that a deep clean.
We usually always stay on hard standing pitches, but because of the holidays we had to settle for a grass pitch. Thankfully we got away with the rain on this occasion, but it's a shame the owners don't consider laying some more hard standing pitches as I'm sure they'd do well.
Breakfast sandwiches and duck eggs for sale are a nice touch.

We had a lovely stay here over Easter. The camping field was ours, no other tents, but caravan park was full, there were 3 tents in our party. We opted for electric hook up (our first time) and I have to say the allowance was great 13amps!
Field was sloping a little bit but didn't cause many issues.
The toilet block well looked after and clean 2 ladies showers, with lots of privacy and very warm, and 4 toilets I think - plenty - never any queues. I never used the showers but were told they were very powerful.
Two sinks for washing dishes in a warm room, again, never any queues. There is a laundry room with a freezer to use and you are allowed to use the site's freezer blocks, my own problem was it shut at 8. 30pm and I wanted to go freeze some blocks when I remembered at 9pm, but not a major issue.
Little shop stocking essentials. Three main supermarkets in Caernarfon, pubs nearby and not far to Newborough beach.
Nice added bonus of the farmers field yo can go in to walk the dogs and see/feed the horses.

Stayed 3 nights, on our first trip with our caravan. From booking to departure owners could not have been more friendly or helpful.
Beautiful views, Anglesey to one side and the snow covered mountains to the other.
Toilets and showers immaculately clean. Plenty of hot water in washing up room. Good recycling facilities. Mix of grass and hard standing, electric hook up included.
Field to walk the dog.
All in all an excellent site, we will be back.

This is a nice small site within a 10 minute drive of Caernarfon. Toilets and showers lovely and clean and plenty of hot water. Pitches not huge but adequate for caravan and awning. A nice site, well kept, ideal for visiting Llanberis or Caernarfon. A good site for couples, nothing on site for children but pleasant for a relaxing break. Site can do you bacon butties for breakfast if you don't wish to cook and duck eggs available on site.

Had a very pleasant if brief stay at Plas Gwyn and would definitely use the site again.
All facilities spotlessly clean with lovely scenery and beaches nearby. Very informative tourist information centre with leaflets about the surrounding attractions and a laundry and shop as well.
Not a problem taking dogs as long as they are on the lead, there is a field across from the site where you can take the dogs for a run. An overall good experience

Site is very well kept and facilities are spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful in reception. Prices reasonable. Bus stops outside camp to Caernarvon or Llanberis. Good tourist information on site for campers. Lovely family run friendly site with a nice atmosphere. You can pre order bacon butties for delivery to your tent/caravan the next morning! Would certainly go again and recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at this site over the May bank holiday. The weather was lovely as was the site. The owner was very helpful and the site was very well maintained and really lovely and peaceful. There is an Indian restaurant about five minutes away which we had a takeaway from, (I think it was called Sopas) the food was really nice and well worth trying. There is a field with ponies in which you can walk your dog which was really pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed this gem of a site and would definitely return. Loved it

This site was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities clean with plenty of hot water for showers.
It is local to shops and a short distance from the walking routes of Snowdon. I had a fantastic stay here and would use this site again when visiting Wales next year.
I would recommend this site to anyone. There is a laundry facilities and good tv, mobile and Internet reception. You can also book a caravan or camping pod unit on this site.

Drove into this site after driving away from an unsuitable site. On enquiring about a pitch owner said he could fit us in. No problem and gave us an hardstanding as requested.
Site was well maintained toilet block was always clean site had information room and a washing machine. The site contains 3 separate areas for statics, tents, and caravans.
Also does b&b. And has 2 wooden tent like buildings. Would recommend this site to anyone

We spent 4 nights at the site, and despite the weather had a great time.
We chose a hard standing and these pitches had their own water point and drainage which was great.
Some of the grass pitches also have similar facilities.
There are two wooden 'tents' which can be hired together with static caravans, and the camping field and caravan touring field.
The place was clean and tidy, and the owners and family are very helpful and friendly.
Basic food items could be purchased at the shop/reception, and there is a laundry with the biggest drying machine I have ever seen!
The location is very handy for Snowdon and Caernarfon and surrounding areas.
We will definitely be going back.
