We had a great week staying at this site. The wardens were friendly and helpful. The facilities block was clean if a little dated, but I never had to queue for the showers.

As others have said, the site is sloping (check out the address - Hill Road, North Hill!) We didn't find this too much of a problem but some of the motorhomes on site needed plenty of levelling blocks.

The road from the site down into the town is a bit hair-raising, but OK if you stick to the route recommended in the C&CC site book. Minehead itself was great and exceeded my expectations. Try out the bakery and pastie shops on the main road!

Also, there were some lovely woodland and moor walks and sea views close to the side. Dunster, Porlock and Porlock Weir nearby (all within a few miles) are well worth a visit if (like me) you like quaint villages, nice pubs and tasty ice cream.

This is a lovely site, overlooking Minehead if you are lucky enough to get a pitch with a view through the trees.

Wardens were very friendly and plenty of time to chat.

Toilets and washing up facilities were fine. The approach road to the site is quite narrow and twisty, so probably not accessible to large motorhomes and the reason caravans aren't allowed.

We walked into Minehead through the woods (didn't manage to walk back I'm ashamed to say!) and got the steam train to Watchet (Tesco vouchers).

A very good site and will visit again if we're in the area.

 Wonderful campsite.

Staff were very kind, helpful and patient. Took time to help us find a good pitch and advise us on pitching.

A small site with great views. The toilet blocks were small but adequate and very clean. The bonus for us was that we could walk into town. It was a steep walk through woodland, may not suit everyone but was fine for us. My partner carried our one year old daughter in a backpack! It was great not having to use the car for the time we were there.

Minehead is a fabulous little town. Plenty of places to eat out and the beach is lovely. There were great walks along the coastal path and across Exmoor from the campsite. On one day we walked to the next town along the coast. It took about four hours. We had lunch there and came back on the bus! We spent our last day riding the steam train.

We would certainly return for another holiday and have no hesitation in recommending the site.

Camped with large tent for 3 nights. Plenty of tent space even in August, although most mobile home spaces taken. Some hookups available. Helpful owners showed us to good spot when we arrived.
Site is sloping (well it's on a hillside) but great views and peaceful location make up for it. Tricky drive up hill through narrow lanes, not for nervous drivers; no caravans on site probably for this reason.
Spotless well-tended site with lots of sheltered spots. Clean shower block, plenty of very hot water and decent showers. Will certainly use again if we revisit this area.

We spent three days on this site, one of which was very wet. The site is in one of the best settings I've ever been in. There are sea views and Exmoor just outside the gate. Make sure you turn right at least once! Minehead isn't a bad little town. There are some nice pubs and quaint cottages at the harbour end. Even Butlins isn't that offensive!

Toilets and showers were clean and I never had to wait.

Only let down with this site is that there are hardly any flat pitches. They are only gentle slopes, though.

We will return.

We have stayed at this site a couple of times now and really like it.

It is located in a peaceful rural setting but is convenient both for the town and for walking on the neighbouring moorland - ideal if you have a dog!

Despite being located in a high position above the town it is well sheltered and even in heavy rain drains very quickly hence no flooded pitches.

The facilities were always clean and well maintained but it's a shame they don't have an alternative toilet facility for use when the main block is being cleaned.

The site does slope in most places so during busy periods you may well end up on quite a sloping pitch which although not ideal is manageable with a bit of improvisation.

The area is very scenic and the town offers all the usual seaside attractions, while the West Somerset Railway provides the opportunity to leave the car behind and enjoy the nearby seaside towns and villages and the beautiful Somerset countryside.

A great site enhanced by the fact there are no caravans, nothing against them as such but tents and caravans don't mix well in my experience!

We spent 2 nights at this site. The Wardens Derek and Christine were very friendly and helpful. We had a quite large hard standing with electric hookup. The showers and toilet block was kept very clean. It was not far from Minehead, and we did walk there, the walk back was very steep and hard work. There is a large moor area opposite the site, ideal for walking the dog. Will certainly visit again next year.

Just spent a 'wet' week here. The toilet/shower block was incredibly clean given the ground conditions. The managers were lovely, as were the relief managers. Views spectacular from our tent. Only downside was that the ground slopes quite a lot and the children kept rolling on top of each other! There also aren't many electric hook-ups on this site. Take some heavy duty pegs with you too because the ground is quite stoney and you will probably bend loads!

There isn't a children's playground on this site, but there was plenty of room for the children to run around - don't know how this would be if the site was full though. There is a site shop selling gas and essentials i.e. Milk, butter, eggs, bacon etc.

You can walk into Minehead from the site, but it would be a steep walk back up! We didn't have that luxury as we have a disabled child, so the car got used every day. Minehead beach is very nice (did get one day there). The town has a nice selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. There is also a large Tescos near Butlins which is easy to get to.

Would go back, but probably not until we have a trailer tent.

This is a great site, the views are perfect, the walks perfect through the woods and a very clean site. The toilet / shower block again is very clean and handy to reach from any part of the site. However, the staff were a little confused with their measurements. We went with a group of 4 tents - Being told that we needed to be 6 feet apart from each tent. Once we had pitched there were no problems as we set up camp-village between us. The owner, who had 'friendly' written on his coat (suppose if it says friendly on your coat does not attribute you to being friendly) said that we needed to be over 6 meters apart, and he was quite tormented by this ordeal. Nevermind, I suppose being a Camping and Caravaning site, they have to be a bit strict, this is not a laid back site like some I have been to. I would recommend it though, perhaps Mr Friendly was just having a bad day and mixed his feet and meters up!

Booked for 7 nights ended up staying 9 nights.
lovely quiet site even though it was august and the school holidays.
site is quite sloping and ground is  hard ended up bending quite a lot of tent pegs.
but the view made up for this.
toilets and facility block was kept nice and clean.
its a 30 minute down hill walk through the woods to minehead town with a good variety of shops.
Will definitely return .
