Fantastic and great little site, small but there seems to be plenty of space and some good flat pitches some are sloped. Betty, the host of 2011 was fab, couldn't of been any better. Only downside, which is a small one, was one toilet and shower (1 for males and 1 for females that is) have to queue at busy times but you get over that. We had a fantastic stay, weather was amazing and on the Beach one day we had to leave, as a lot of others did, as it was toooooo hot. Amazing walks and coves to explore, South stack is a must visit for everyone, stunning. We enjoyed it that much we booked for the kids holidays this summer while we were there, will re visit and stay at Tan y Graig every year.
Found this site (and this website for that matter!) when at the last minute major problems with our travel plans required us to find somewhere to stay in Holyhead.
And what an amazing find! It's pretty small, very quiet but nicely secluded the site boasts an amazing view of seascape and is just ten/fifteen minutes walk from a really nice secluded beach cove (which has a nice ice cream and burger van in the day).
The hostess couldn't have been any friendlier, helpful and accommodating and the toilets and showers were immaculate. We camped, a few small hills but we had no problem finding a nice soft and flat spot - had a really nice sleep despite having forgotten my mattress. Most of our neighbours were caravanners and there were spare hookups knocking about. It was meant to be a stop-off but my friends liked it so much they ended up staying three nights!
I'd definitely got back if I ever found myself in the area again.
I also highly recommend the local taxi firm (01407 761 761) who were very friendly and got us to the port for about £4.
What a gem perfect site for all, owner is very helpful, nothing is to much trouble. We loved it that much, we sited our van for the season. The toilets and showers are always very clean and very hot.
Treadure village only 5 mins/car, Holyhead 10 mins/car, 4 little sandy coves nearby perfect for family days out. The first one you come to has a loo and a water fountain all free and free parking. A beach warden also patrols as dogs are not allowed. You can have BCU on beach, icecream van calls, but very peaceful. If you prefer a bit more life the main beach in Treadure is bigger and there is a prom with a pub, icecream van and burger van, a couple of little shops, but not to much to spoil the excellent scenery.
