A lovely secluded site surrounded by hills and woodland. Camped for a couple of nights to try out our new tent. The pitches are spacious and well placed. Lovely clean facilities and friendly on site staff.
Although the play area is small and no ball games are allowed on site the younger children are soon making friends and playing games such as tig and loved every minute of their stay. We also had badminton to keep us occupied which made up for no football.
It was nice to be close to the play area to keep an eye on things occasionally. Having so much fun the children played out til dark when one of the site managers very helpfully and tactfully sent them 'home' to their beds.
Ice blocks are available from the shop for 50p with a small deposit and although we opted for no electric hookup we managed to watch a couple of 30 min programmes with some power in the laptop and a camp wi fi card for £2. There's a small shop on site where you can purchase things like books, ice creams, drinks and a good selection of sweets for the children.
The shower blocks were very clean with separate cubicles with a private wash basin. There are only 3 showers in the ladies but there never seemed to be a queue. The block shuts between 10.30 and 12 each morning for cleaning.
Our second visit to the site, we had a lovely relaxing weekend and would definitely visit again. Listening to the sound of cows and sheep is such a peaceful way to fall asleep! Then there's the pleasure of waking up to birdsong. I did make the mistake of leaving a bag of rubbish out one night which birds were investigating in the early hours of one morning. I didn't leave it out the second night.
Having forgotten pans and having no bung for the airbed I had to improvise the first night. The following day I made a half hour drive into Selly Oak to a retail park and Halfords which sell spare bungs and caps in their very useful airbed repair kit. The site shop was also selling a few used items while we were there.
We stayed here for the first time at Easter and were pleasantly surprised that it was not too busy. We stayed here to visit family nearby and for us it was an excellent location.
Near enough to the West Mids and all its attractions such as the Black Country Museum and Cadbury World but still in a lovely peaceful countryside location.
We felt that the site was well managed and the facilities were very good. There was a small wooden playground that we asked to be pitched near as it was a good meeting place for our small daughter to make friends.
There were plenty of loos and showers and washbasin cubicles - all very modern and cleaned to a high standard.
The only gripe was that the shower block is closed at 10. 30am for a couple of hours, and my small daughter needed the loo at this time. They do have a second block but this is only made available for the 6 week summer season.
There is one disabled loo to be used when they are cleaning, but as the cleaning lady explained, there is also a shower in there, and so people can be a while, with a queue forming. Eventually the cleaner relented and let my daughter use the loo - after we had waited about 15 minutes.
Recommended also is The Sun pub nearly - very child friendly and very good value food.
Have just spent three nights at this campsite. Very easy to find, but don't follow Sat Nav instructions to go up Dark Lane as it is very narrow! Nice welcome and shown to pitch. Pitch types varied, some grass, some hard standing, some level some not.
Basic shop on site but lovely butchers and local shops with home produce. I must recommend the black pudding sausages from the local butcher. They were delicious! Shower and toilet facilities good and clean but probably need updating.
We were pitched near the children's play area, and as we didn't have young children with us, found it a bit noisy at times, but would remember to ask for a pitch further away another time.It certainly wouldn't put us off booking again.
A must is a visit to the Black Country Museum, it was brilliant, and you must try the fish and chips! Look forward to a return visit.
If you are looking for a quiet, secluded country location with a view then look no further. There is NO road noise at all. This is our favourite site of all. We live just 20 minutes away but could be anywhere in the country, so visit as often as we can.
There is a good sized facilities block, with dishwashing and laundry facilities. Childrens play area is on the small side but seems adequate. Some pitches are sloping but blocks are available. There is a small provisions shop and a good tourist information point. Details of local walks are available from reception. Site staff are very helpful. TV signal is poor but mobile signal is fine.
A good pub 15 minutes walk away is The Sun - a 2 for 1 pub with a superb outdoor terrace and small children's play area. Newsagents and well stocked provisions shop nearby, along with a butchers. There is a decent Indian restaurant in Clent village itself.
The site was really great, we had a warm, friendly greeting and was showed to our pitch, which was nearly level and hard standing. It was very quiet, you wouldn't believe it to be so close to Halesowen
It had lovely views, woken to birds singing, we could have been anywhere. It was a place to chill or very close to places of interest such as The Black country museum, which is a must. Really didn't have enough time to explore so I'm sure we would go back some day.
Bredon Vale Caravan And Camping overlooks Bredon Hill and the Malverns, and is only 25 minutes from the Cotswolds, Stratford Upon Avon and Evesham Vale Light Railway. Set in an orchard of over 100 fruit trees, this dark-skies site has tent, caravan and motorhome pitches, grass or hardstanding, and optional EHU. For glampers there are log pods, a vintage caravan and a bell tent.
Facilities include a heated amenity block with toilets, showers and a family room, information point, laundry room and a washing up area. Natural kid's play area with some outdoor games to borrow. Shop with campsite essentials, and fresh produce often available. Local pub is just a 15 minute walk from the site. For extra supplies Tesco and Chadbury Farm Shop and Cafe are both just a five minute drive from the site.

Just returned from 3 nights at this site. Just me and my wife.
The site is just outside Birmingham but like they say you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside.
The staff are very friendly and helpful but one thing that baffled me is why they site you on the steepest slope on the site when there are flatter areas around the edges. Many people commented on this.
My wife said I should have asked to be sited on the flat parts but not having been there before I just did as I was told. When you arrive and pay etc. It's a case of 'Right follow me' and you just go. You get the impression that where you are put is not up for discussion. So be prepared to asks.
The sloping bit is very sloping so much so that they have a trailer with bricks etc. By the entrance to assist. You might have to use bricks as your jockey wheel might not lift up the caravan high enough to level it.
Toilet bloke very clean and showers nice and hot.
We used the Sun pub about a mile away for meals (two for one but choose of menu not specials board and you'll save a fortune as they are almost the same meals). Bitter £2.25 a pint.
Nice walks around there around Clent Hills. If you use pushbikes there are some steep hills.
If you walk to the pub take a flashlight.
Would go there again but would ask for a flat part of the field.
We went for a weekend to this site as its quite close to home and just wanted to relax. The site itself is quite prettily situated with good facilities.
The only comment I would have is beware of groups with gazebos. Unusually for CCC sites, we were kept awake until the early hours by adults drinking and chatting and this has put us off going again.
My family (2 adults/3 small children) stayed at Clent during the last Bank Holiday weekend in May 2009. The weather was quite nice, mainly sunny!
This site is not the largest of sites but, pitches were fairly spread out so you did not feel you were on top of each other. We were picthed at the bottom of the site where it was quite flat, a large majority of the site is on a hill.
There is one 'main' toilet/shower block, which did not feel as clean as other sites we have been to and also felt small. (there is another small toilet block by reception) Even though it was a busy Bank Holiday weekend there were not significant queues for the showers, but I suspect we were lucky with timing as we left showers until late morning. (only 3 showers)
The children's play area is small but ok - we walked into Romsley (10 minutes) to a large playground/park (swings / climbing frames etc) The kids loved it and it made the short work very worth while. The Sun pub (suppose to be wort a visit but we ran out of time) is just down the road along with some shops, including a corner shop selling everything you would need.
We had no trouble with the site's staff - seemed fine and friendly to us. The shop is small but sells ice creams (kept the kids happy!) and local goods like bacon (kept daddy happy!)
We had a very nice stay at this site and would return again.
Initial impressions were of a clean camp, set in beautiful surroundings, with a clean toilet block.
Negatives:
However, regarding facilities for children, I believe that the playground is very small (can be very difficult for children to get on the facilities during a busy period), and no playing field for older boys eg. for playing cricket or football. In addition, the site management are a bit petty, and tend to get on children's / families cases for playing football and other ball games in the site. Therefore, I would suggest that the playground facilities are expanded, and ideally put aside an area for ball games.
In addition, although they possessed copies of appropriate maps regarding walks in the local area, they did not appear knowledgeable and could offer little guidance. I would suggest that site management go on a few walks in the local area so they are more familiar with the walk leaflets that they offer.
Finally, although there was a shop on site, it didn't have much in stock, and staff overall could have been a little friendlier.
