 We have just returned from a brilliant stay here. We originally booked for 4 nights but stayed for 10. The site is a lovely unspoilt haven in the countryside less than a mile from Thornton-Le-Dale. The village is lovely and the site proved to be the perfect base for exploring this part of Yorkshire.
Roger and Sue are so friendly and could not have been more helpful. The waste disposal facilities are kept immaculate. The pitches are all grass which is kept really well cut.
The site looks over open fields and we have never seen so many butterflies and different birds. This site is perfect for those looking for peace and quiet and a back to basics style of holidaying.
We will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely great camp site. Roger and Sue were so friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Went the extra mile to help me as a lone 1st time female camper.
Site is immaculate and well kept and the location is excellent.

Lovely location, great scenery. Friendly and helpful owners. The facilities were clean.
We had a great night stay and would definitely book again.

Booked this site as a last minute getaway. Emailed the site early in the morning and received a quick reply from Roger saying he had a pitch available. As soon as we arrived on site we were impressed at how lovely it looked.
Roger the warden met us with a warm friendly greeting and we signed COVID-19 track and trace form. He explained about the site and showed us to our pitch overlooking the fields and near the stream. The site is beautifully kept with short grass and some longer grass in the middle to encourage habitat.
We saw coloured butterflies, bees, kestrels and a red kite. Thé CDP, bin and recycling area was kept immaculate and the 2 vintage red fire buckets filled with sand were a lovely feature adding to a very quirky site.
We walked into the village in 15 minutes part way through the fields on a marked path which is beautiful. This site is a gem for peace and quiet and lovely views of fields and open countryside.
We will definitely return as we had an amazing 3 days there.
