 This is the second time I have visited this campsite and I believe it to be the most peaceful and beautiful place I have stayed whilst visiting the lakes. I usually stay elsewhere until my partner introduced me to it. I Am returning again in 2 weeks with a group as we enjoy it so much. Beautiful location, however the toilet and shower area could use some lighting and a good cleaning. Other than that I would recommend this campsite to young couples and hikers alike.

In a very pleasant location, perfect for walks in the beautiful Borrowdale area. Just two pretty grotty showers each for men and women, at 50p a shot I thought it quite expensive as VERY basic. No tiles, just concrete walls and floors with shower head sticking out of wall, no area for changing, and cobwebs everywhere. No lighting in showers or toilets, so take your torch! Toilets of same standard, and two outside sinks for washing up, which were dirty. However, that aside, we would definitely return since the setting is so lovely and there is a dearth of sites in the area.
