Some of the pitches are on slight slopes but they will site your van & level it out for you. The toilets & showers are immaculate with a great family / disabled room that can only be accessed with a key so that it can't be abused. In high season there may be a bit of a wait as there are only a few showers / toilets.

The owners are very friendly & helpful. The views are absolutely stunning & there are many beautiful walks nearby. We took the children on a short walk through the trees behind the site & it was lovely.

The nearby beach is stunning & very clean.

My only criticism is not of the site but the area - within a few days we had visited anywhere that was within easy reach. If the weather was bad, you may be a bit stuck for something to do, especially if you have children. However, with good weather you could easily spend every day on a different section of the beach & still not see it all!

Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

We have just returned from a week on this camp site.

This is a lovely basic camp site. We had an electric hook up pitch which was flat however the rest of the site is on a slope so it may be more difficult to get a level pitch if it is busier.

The shower blocks were great, the shower rooms were a good size with plenty of hot water. I was able to take my two toddlers into the shower with me with plenty of room for us all to get changed. There is a family room but you have to get the owners to let you in. As we woke early this was not always practical for us.

The biggest down-side to this site for us was the location. We had to drive everywhere. Usually we would cycle or walk a lot but the site is on the top of a steep hill so it would not have been possible to go anywhere far with small children in tow.

We did not have any problems with noise although we had the site to ourselves for 5 out of the 7 nights. Children were generally running round playing until 9-10pm but never any later than that.

We would not return back here simply because there was not an awful lot to do either on site or in the area. I would be happy to recommend this site though.

We really enjoyed staying at this site it is well placed in a quiet location with sea views. The toilet and shower facilities are excellent, clean and warm. No limit on the hot water. I thought the shower cubicles could have done with another hook or 2 but we ladies are never satisfied. Free hairdryers but no sockets for straightners etc.

The site owner was very welcoming. The tent field is large but sloping. We do not use hookup but these pitches were flat. There were only 6 tents the weekend we were there but the caravan section was pretty much full. Only paid 10 per night, very good value for money.

As previously described you can walk to the pub in Talybont but the hill back up really is steep. We only had a drink in the pub as it was very busy for food, instead we went to Tony's Italian restaurant opposite the post office, the atmosphere was really good and the owner is a very chatty, flirtatious man who has been there a long time.

The restaurant was full and many of the customers were regulars. The menu was varied and included a lot of seafood and fish. Our meal was fabulous. We each had three courses & a bottle of pinot grigio and the bill was 57. I fully recommend Tony's for a quirky night with good food.

We have not visited the area before and were bowled over by the stunning beaches. Barmouth has everything you need and is a short drive away. I know we will be back.

Wow What lovely site. Friendly owners and immaculate toilets and showers. Cleaned every day, showers hot as you like any time of day. A fantastic location near to Barmouth, Harlech, and Porthmadog. Very Very good price too. We booked to go again in August before we left in May. There are a couple of local shops, a Spar and a village shop. Fish and chip shop nearby too.

Just returned from a weekend break at Parc Isaf Farm. After finding the site on UKCampsite.co.uk and reading the reviews, we knew it would be good. We were not disappointed!

The site is relatively small and is run by a family on a working farm. The sheep and cattle in surrounding fields really gives you a feel of the countryside and the views of the beach / sea are fantastic.

The toilet / shower block facilities are excellent. New in 2008 this is a lovely heated modern block with washing facilities for the pots and pans too! It was always spotless when we were there and the showers are hot and powerful. The best I've ever had at a campsite.

Yes, the camping field is on an incline, but it is not too steep and the hookup pitches (where we were) are at the bottom of the field and are perfectly flat. There are also ample water points right next to the pitches.

We really can not fault the site at all. Not too big, not too small, relaxed friendly family run site with excellent facilities and amazing value!

We will go back!

A few words of warning though:

1) The site is on a hill and walking down the road to Tal-y-Bont is not for the unfit as the walk back up the bank is rather difficult. Then again, it is good for you and will offset the intake of beer and fish & chips!

2) We would advise to not go to the 'Ysgethin Inn' in Tal-y-Bont. Other reviews have it right, it is overpriced. We went there on the first night and for main meals costing approximately 9-10 each were horrified to be served something resembling something found in Iceland for 99p. The pub is great for a drink as it sits next to a river with ample outdoor seating, but stay away if you want something to eat. Instead, get in the car go past Tal-y-Bont and travel 5 minutes down the road to Barmouth - there are loads of places to choose from where you get get cheaper and far tastier food. Barmouth really was lovely. The Harbour Fish Bar (or something like that) is a must!

All in all, a fantastic weekend away. The site is excellent. A real winner if you want to get away from it all and enjoy being out in the open air.

Have just returned from a 4 night Easter weekend break at Parc Isaf. Brilliant campsite - really quiet and well maintained. We had a superb tent pitch as we had a hook up - the pitch was nice and flat, as are all the ones with hook ups. The rest of the field is hilly so finding a flat pitch may be a problem if it is busy.

Being the only people brave (or daft!) enough to defy the weather forecast and camp, we practically had the field to ourselves which was great for our little boy. There were sheep and lambs in the next field so that provided a bit of entertainment too.

The toilets and showers were clean but if you go to the loo in the night, remember to take a torch as the lights do not stay on all night. The water in the showers are nice and hot and are the type like you get in swimming pools where you push a button in the wall to work it. Each turn doesn't last very long but there is no limit on the length of time you are there so it's not really a problem.

The washing up room was clean and spacious. Despite all the rain previously the field was not too muddy.

There are 3 or 4 places to get fish and chips on the road into Barmouth, and there is an Italian restaurant which has a take away van that is open every evening. We didn't try any of these but we did walk to the 'Ysgethin Inn' in Tal-y-Bont which was really nice, if a little pricey (a children's meal is 6 and adult meals go from 8-13). The walk took us about 25 mins - but beware of the steep climb back!

In the village of Dyffryn there is a well equipped Spar and newsagents with a good butchers. A minor criticism would be that a tumble dryer in the wash room wouldn't go amiss - if only to dry towels. Other than that, a really good site where we shall definitely be returning.
