I visited the campsite August 2005 and really enjoyed the holiday!. The site itself is very well kept, and tidy. The shower blocks are clean, and have showers, toilets and hairdryer facilities - which I was grateful for after a long hot day!. The site also has washing up facilities and a nice little shop open a few hours a day. The site is located perfectly, there is a small beach nearby which allows dogs, and St Ives, NewQuay, St Michaels Mount and others are only a short drive. There are also a few pubs and supermarkets in the area. The scenery in cornwall is breathtaking, blue sea, green fields, waves crashing on the rocks, and lots of little villages to explore. I was originally worried about taking a dog, but we managed to get hold of a 'dog freindly beaches' leaflet, which allowed us to travel round cornwall and confidently visit other beaches. I only have two small critisism's about the site, the first is that there is a no noise policy after 10 pm, however to be fair we were warned about this well before booking and it did not spoil our enjoyment, and the second is be very careful getting down to the closest beach, its very rocky. You are fine walking and watching your step, but when you have bags full of pop, sandwiches and towels it can be dangerous!. Well worth a visit to this site and cornwall!.
August 2004 A really friendly site - unfortunately we chose probably the wettest week Cornwall's seen for centuries to go visit - but none-the-less the campsite coped well and didn't get flooded and was kept really nice and clean, considering the amount of mud around! The ice freezing service is an excellent addition to your stay - take a marker pen to identify your packs though. The breakfast/take-away option is excellent too - good food at a good price. We had plot 53 (with a sea-view!). The owner told us that many people request this spot, but she only allows small tents there as it's one of their smaller plots (We've got a 4 man tent for the two of us, and had plenty of space for the car too). The one next to it was much bigger (and not quite as close to the chemical toilet disposal point for the caravans as we were-although we didn't find this a problem). The beach at Kenneggy Cove is lovely. The shortcut down to the beach (with the rope!) is a bit scary at first attempt, but you soon get the hang of it - and there's always plenty of people around to give a helping hand if required - as it can be tricky when you've got bags and towels and a bodyboard! When we were there a family of four (with two young kids) and a DOG - and all the associated bumf, managed it with no help at all - even though we offered! Easy to find - first right after Rosedugeon village, if heading towards Helston. In other direction: Next left turning after left turning to Lower Kennegy. Free showers/ hot water/ hairdryer/ even washing-up liquid if you get caught short. Definitely recommended.
June 2003 This is one of the best sites I have ever stayed on. If you want clean toilets, good showers, friendly owners, small shop, great little takeaway service, fantastic beaches and peace and quiet- this is the site. The coastal walks are fabulous and the beach at the foot of the site (reached by a rope on a cliff- it's not as bad as it sounds. Kids were managing it and our dog raced down. You can walk over the rocks instead at low tide) is simply awesome. St. Michael's Mount is within easy reach along the coastal path (a day of walking- about 3 hours probably) and Penzance is nearby (great Tesco for when you run out of food). The views from all the picthes are just gorgeous. I really can't fault this site as the perfect Cornwall campsite. Oh- only downside is, there's no pub in easy walking distance, although there is a great one down the coastal path, about an hour and a half to walk in a small village whose name I can't remember.
August 2003 We loved this quiet, pretty campsite; plenty of toilets and a handy family shower room with a small bath and hand shower for babies or young ones. The takeway service is a little expensive and could be improved, but it is a nice addition.
The beach is accessed by climbing across rocks (when the tide allows), or abseiling down the lower part of the cliff (and then obviously back up) with the help of a very precarious rope. The rocky footpath leading down to this advises that the footpath is closed and you descend at your own peril! - definitely not for very young children, but alright if you belong in the Famous Five. Once on the beach, it is outstandingly beautiful, with many caves and wonderful sand. Praa sands is definitely better for body boarding though as Kenneggy cove is very sheltered and the waves don't get very big.

Aug 1999, Aug 2000 Set on a cliff top, this is a small site with a wonderful atmosphere. It is well laid out with plenty of planting to break up the areas. The views from the site are absolutely stunning. It has a very small shop stocking essentials and they do take-aways in the evenings. The shower and toilet facilities are clean and the washing up area is actually inside! From the site you can walk down to a small beach or a few minutes drive takes you to Praa Sands, a huge sandy beach which is brilliant for body boarding.

This is a small/medium sized site aimed at families. It is set on the cliff top east of Penzance with spectacular views down the Lizard peninsula. It is reached down a narrow lane from the main road and is therefore very quiet, no traffic noise at all. The site is well laid out and is mostly level although the non-electric pitches are on a slight slope.
The site shop is small and stocks only the essentials. There is also a take away service but we never tried this so can't comment. Both the shop and reception are reached via a bridge over the fish pond !
There is a childrens play area and a small games field and hopefully the wet weather barn will be open for this season (2000). The site owners are resident and are very friendly. If there is no one in reception it probably means they are out chatting to someone. There are 4 or 5 static vans for hire and also 1 apartment.
From the site you can walk down the cliff path to a small sandy cove. This is virtually a private beach as it is not easily accessible other than from the site. The toilet block is the one area where there is room for improvement. Although kept very clean and tidy it is old and could do with updating. The washing up area which is also part of this block is interesting!! Cold water is available at each sink but hot water comes from a separate tap and has to be run into a bucket and then tipped into the sink !!!!
Overall this is a very pretty, quiet site which has a lovely atmosphere. Many of the people we met there go back year after year.
