We were booked into petwood caravan park for our Easter break fortunately for us they were not quite ready (electrics not installed). We couldn't have wished for more, the warden and staff were so friendly and helpful. The site was lovely, yes the toilet block could do with a bit of a re-vamp however the showers were lovely and hot and everything was kept immaculate.
Went on several of the woodland walks with molly our westie who thoroughly enjoyed herself. The tea house in the woods and the bakery well need I say more a must. We had a lovely roast carvery in the local pub on the Sunday can highly recommend it.
Am so pleased the caravan site re opened this year, we had a fantastic holiday here.
Cant wait to visit again we will definitely be back.

Just to confirm this site is still going and is reopening for the 2010 season on Good Friday, April 2nd 2010.
Can only echo what other reviews have said. We had a super weekend at this site - went with some friends who are amongst others who hope this site will stay a well kept secret! Cheap as chips, dated but clean, staff are friendly. Plenty of hot water. No problem with us leaving our pitch late (as the battery had failed on the car and had to wait for RAC). Woodhall Spa is lovely and the deli is out of this world! The kids would argue that the ice cream parlour deserved that accolade. Our kids aged 8, 5 and 4, loved the site and it was safe for them to cycle round and use the play park. The open air heated lido on site was a great plus and lovely and warm. Don't miss the Kinema in the Woods - a really olde worlde cinema all on its own in the middle of the woods - great experience.
I hope this site does stay open but I hope new owners don't whack up the price too much.

We have been advised the site has been saved from closure as commented on in some of the reviews.
Following a meeting in September 2009 the site will continue to be operated by East Lindsey Council who are looking for a private buyer to run the site next year
We tried out our new tent for 4 days and 3 nights at Jubilee Park and it was the best holiday ever!the weather was red hot and the campsite was brilliant. Our pitch was super, really big,the play park for our 7yr old was excellent. But the swimming pool on site was the icing on the cake, and it was free to swim after 3pm! The staff Neil and Terry are so helpful and friendly, as it was our first time camping that was a godsend. We loved it so much we returned in July!T here are lots of places to explore near the site,a walk into Woodhall is a must. The toilets, showers, washing up facilities were excellent, really clean and plenty of hot water. We cant wait to return next year!
Unusual setting in the middle of a council park, with the tennis courts, play area, putting green & lovely warm outdoor pool (free after 3pm to campers and free all day to over 60's & under 16's - bring proof of age & address) there's plenty to occupy everyone.
Easy walk to the pretty town centre and fantastic Kinema in the woods, plus loads of WW2 airfields & museums to visit nearby.
Good size pitches, loo block dated but clean, lovely staff and a nice friendly atmosphere from other campers. Dirt-cheap too!
Hi just to let you all know that this site is def still open for the 2009 season, we love it and visit it several times a year. Folk are still hoping that the site will not now close at all, but may have the toilets etc modernised (although personally we don't find a problem with them).
Woodhall Spa is charming and a little bit like stepping back in town, try the delicatassen on the main street for lovely fresh baked bread, we also love the olives they sell there from Italy and the fresh coleslaw is just yummy.
Good meat rib eyes etc from the butchers a few doors away (Papworths). For lunch or evening meals the original tea house in the woods (now McCauleys) does really good food in a lovely setting.Watch out for squirrels running up and down the nearby trees, we love the panninis here at lunchtime and I can recommend the ham and cheese but my Husband loves the prawn cocktail which is more like a prawn salad.
Just to add the swimming pool on site is lovely and the water really warm, and is open daily until late Sept.
If you have or do visit this caravan site and want to add support to keep it open please email the Friends of Jubilee Park on
Http://www.Woodhallspa.Org/groups_fojp.Html also I notice an earlier review said no shop on site but the cafe have now added groceries and daily papers etc.
We just love this little gem of a site, and I am sure that once you have been like us you will be back time and again.
Had a fantastic weekend here, myself and kids loved it, already booked to come back last week in July.
Toilet block clean, plenty of toilets, and some showers. Chemical toilet disposable area. Site lovely and clean, spacious pitches, warden ever so friendly and helpful.
Large playground with swings, slides see saws, climbing frames with slides, rocking horse and much more, kept kids quiet for hours.Cafe on site. Also tennis, bowls. 2 outdoor swimming pools, one which is children's pool can stay all day with picnic areas at side, which is free to all under 16y olds, few pounds per adult really worth it.
Village/town 5/1o mins walk with variety of shops, pubs, fast food take outs.
Paid 16 pounds per night, high season costs, for caravan, awning, electric hook up, 2 adults and 3 kids.
Can find anything wrong at all with this site, loved been there, cant wait to go back.
Excellent campsite, have stayed several times, absolutely unbelievable that they are trying to close it at the end of the season. If you have stayed here then please email the council or sign the petition.
Toilet blocks old but clean. Pitches and range of activities available are fantastic. Lovely outdoor heated pool, free to campers after 3pm.
Nice shops, Budgen store open until 10pm and on Sundays.
If you fancy a treat you can stroll across to the Kinema, walk in the woods or have a drink at the Petwood Hotel situated in beautiful gardens.
