 Stayed here for last 2 weeks in June and overall very disappointed. Did not get off to the best start when our allocated pitch had not been mown, not good when we stopping for 14 nights, and around a 10 min walk each way from all facilities except clean water fill up, almost a half mile round trip. CDP is open and in full view, many people camped close around it, grey water could only be emptied here. Showers were 50p slot but did not use as they are very basic and toilets and showers were never very clean. One other strange thing was there were no urinals in the gents
Everything quiet until first friday and after 2 weekends of festivals at Uttoxeter there was another one here, yet again loud music until the early hours on both nights, I had checked the racecourse and caravan web sights and nothing was listed. Checked with the racecourse if anything planned for 2nd weekend, if so we would leave early, all I got was a rather curt letter back 4 days later saying not but if I wanted to leave early take it up with wardens. The wardens by the way were very friendly and helpful.
The location of the site is fantastic, 20 mins walk along a path and your in Stratford, riverside walks also but a little longer. Very busy with tourists so we stayed riverside. Was there while the boat festival was on and it was very enjoyable though very busy. Lots of paths and trails close by. If your a racing enthusiast then this site is for you. The horses arrive through the site, the stables are very close and easily viewable and the horses walk through part of the site pre and post race.
All this and £17 a night during mid season. Come on Stratford this site could be so much better and I guess the fact that there never more than a few units on at any time was indicative of facilities. Not one we will be back to which is a great shame.

Stayed over at the site for a couple of nights as the food festival was on. Friendly greeting and our level hardstanding pitch was close to the reception. The fresh water tap was very handy so we did not have to move to fill the tank. As mentioned the toilet and showers where a distance but this was not an issue. The site was busy so the facilities were well used, but non the less clean and everything worked as it should have done. It was nice to see the heating was on as it was a bit chilly one morning.
Good location for a walk into the town, but on the day there was a shuttle bus running so even better.
A great 2 days and will return

I've been camping all my life but this is my first review on a site!
We stayed for 2 nights at the site. I initially phoned in advance to book a pitch and spoke to the lady who said that the site was fully booked. A shout from the man in the background then changed things and spaces were available (a comment previously mentioned by a visitor to the site).
Upon arrival I got checked in and bought my shower tokens. I only realised later that I'd been short changed! We were directed to our pitch and it was dry and level, just right for our requirements.
On the Sunday morning it was Family Day at the racecourse, not a problem because the grounds a large and have adequate parking. What was a surprise was the number of people filing between the caravans towards the race stands from the public carpark. Had I been one of the caravans next to the route taken by the race goers, I wouldn't have been happy.
The shower block and toilets are a long way from where the caravans and campers are located. When I stayed, as with a previous comment, French travel students were staying. The toilets were busy and hard to keep clean I expect. The students tidied up VERY well after themselves and their area was spotless. Well done them!
The cleaning of the shower blocks was done between 11 and 12pm. Both male and female blocks at the same time. I visited at 10:55am (a little close to cleaning time admittedly) and was told that both blocks were closed. I asked where the other toilet block was 'there isn't one' said the lady. I asked to use the toilet in that case. 'No' was the answer! Hummmm! Very curt and not very helpful I thought. (I do appreciate that they must get interrupted lots while cleaning but if there's only one block available then facilities should be open for use. Very frustrating!
Apart from those two issues I think that the site is great for kids to play at, a large open area in front of the caravans means that parents can sit back and let then run round while they have a drink!

Nice site with lovely big pitches right next to the race course.
Just over a mile to Stratford itself and the walk is nice, Morrisons and Tescos not to far away either.
Toilets nice and clean and all amenities close by, although on a site that can accommodate 200 units plus tents 4 loos plus 4 showers (mens) 6 loos and 5 showers womens wont cope.
Warden on site and quite helpful and office open most of the time.
Down points for us were paying for showers, 50p a go for about 5 mins! if your lucky and we weren't told about the race for life that was there on the Sunday by the wardens which woke us at about 5am and the site was inundated with people and cars for all the morning.
Overall ok but wont be visiting again.

We love this site.
Helpful wardens, nothing too much trouble
Generous size pitches
Convenient to walk into Stratford
Depending on where you are pitched it can be a bit of a hike to the fresh water points and loos but not much of a problem.
Showers and toilets always very clean and maintained. Tokens for showers for 50p from Wardens office.
Marvellous dog walk.
Good Indian restaurant/take away a few minutes walk up the hill from the site.
Nice pub The Bell in Shottery, 10-15 mins walk from the site. Food very good.
All in all no complaints. We go there often and shall keep returning!

Visited this site due to location for the horse racing and easy access to the town. Location was first class for both and the dog walks were one of the best we have seen. Pitches were of a decent size on grass and there are some hard standing pitches available.
Water and drainage is a bit of a distance from most pitches and toilets further still but soon got used to it.
Wardens were always on site and most helpful.
While we were there the site had 70 French students camping so toilets were often busy and hard to keep clean. Showers were 50p tokens from wardens.
Taxi or walk into town centre was no problem 5 minutes in taxi or 20 minutes walking. No play park but plenty of open space for kids to get out and explore. Site basic but shops and supermarkets close by. Will return due to location,

Visited last weekend whilst the Motorhome show was on, a very busy site with hundreds of campers there. For what we paid it was a good value site and a nice show. I have one complaint which is out of the ordinary, the showers were 50p and believe it or not but they were on for far too long and wasted too much water. Save the planet, shower with a friend????
There are many very good walks around the racecourse with gates at regular intervals. Nice area, nice tourist attractions, nice Sunday market.

The site is situated within walking distance of Stratford upon Avon. The walk is about 1 ½ miles on a footpath. Stratford upon Avon is a lovely place with much to see and do.
We stayed here over a bank holiday weekend in a motorhome. The site is very spacious so if you have a large tent or RV this shouldn’t be a problem. If booking at short notice, when other sites are full it might be worth trying here especially if you don’t require hook up. The cost for 2 nights with EHU was a very reasonable £31 with the only extra being a shower at 50 pence. The site office closes at 7pm, so you must arrive before then. Bizarrely the warden said that the site was full when we rang up and it was only when I said that I didn't want EHU that she said she could fit us in. When we arrived there was loads of room.
The toilets and showers were heated and in reasonable condition. Our pitch was very large but the grass needed cutting.
When choosing your pitch note that in late afternoon some are shaded by the trees, this may be a good or bad thing. As the site is so large it can be a long walk from some pitches to the toilet block so ask to be pitched nearby if this is important to you.
Plenty of dog walks nearby and it is possible to take your dog off his lead in the middle of the racetrack for a good run.
There is a car boot sale at weekends in the next field and as well as races there as often other events there such as the beer festival in June that we would love to visit if we didn’t live so far away.
Overall we had a very enjoyable weekend there.

We have visited this site on a number of occasions and always found that the owner and his wife who run the site to be very helpful and friendly. Large pitches with lots of space between pitches. You can walk down the River into Stratford Upon Avon which takes about 30 minutes but is a really nice walk. You can also walk down the main road into Stratford. Lots of large supermarkets that are local if you need any supplies. Camping with a difference in that you are camping next to the Race Course. We have not camped there on a Race day so cannot comment on what its like. The shower and toilet block are kept clean. 50p for a shower is not going to break the bank. We will definitely be visiting again.

The Landliner Club (1983) held its 30th Anniversary and AGM at this site. We were allocated a very suitable location in the centre of the racecourse and access to the Falstaff Room that was available for our use throughout the weekend. There was excellent toilet block adjacent to the room with hot water on the sinks and hot showers (50p for 7 minutes). The grass had been cut prior to our visit and the cuttings had obviously been collected. The site wardens were very welcoming and attentive. Very happy to recommend this venue
