As a newcomer to camping and my first trip with my 6 yr old niece, I was daunted as I had never put up a tent before! Nick the owner was so kind to help me.
The welcome was excellent and June and Nick offered any help we wanted. I was very surprised at the cleanliness of the toilets and washing facilities.
The views were stunning, and the country walks were great. I especially enjoyed milking Pansy. An excellent site for very little money.

Very pleasant and extremely friendly site with numbered, marked-out generous pitches, simple facilities and lovely fresh eggs on sale. Also wonderful fresh raw milk available.
Lots of things for kids to do meeting the farm animals.
The owners can drop off decent-sized crates of firewood and don't have lots of silly rules governing camp fires. They also have a positive attitude to dogs and go out of their way to organise things so that children can enjoy themselves without upsetting adults who want peace and quiet.
Nice woodland walks nearby.
The only downside is the noise from the busy main road nearby. This is constant though never overbearingly intrusive, however.

What a lovely campsite. The site itself is really nice and divided in to two parts with the 'adult' field up by the pond [sensible].
We've just returned from a few nights here and the owners are absolutely great. They like to check in and make sure every thing's OK, without being interfering.
It's a working farm and you can even milk a cow on Sunday mornings, if you get up in time
Facilities are basic with only loos and running cold water. That's all I'm after usually as this tends to attract the sort of camping crowd I get on with.
They allow open fires and supply wood that they bring up to you in the evening. There's a pub and a BP shop 5-10 mins up the road that sells all the essentials.
I'd thoroughly recommend this place and am sure we'll be returning.

Just got home from our 1st visit to oakfield farm,
Its a basic but lovely little campsite on a working farm. It has friendly owners, lots of space and a lovely location.
Campfires and well behaved dogs are allowed, which is a real bonus for us, and the wood is brought over to your site.
The facilities are basic, with no hot water or showers, just clean flushing toilets and cold water taps. But personally this is what we like, proper camping!
There is a shop and pub just up the road.
We will be returning!

We have just returned from a one night stay at this site, its what it says on the box, open fields one toilet for ladies one for gents(very clean) and a tap for collecting water,
no cars are allowed in the field apart for loading/unloading which keeps it very safe for children, as we were in a camper we were in a separate field nearer the entrance so a bit further walk to the toilets and water but not a problem, loads of space for the children to run around as apart from a caravan we had a field to ourselves.
The hosts were lovely, friendly and would come and collect any children, that wished, to see them feed the piglets and milk (by hand and machine) their house cow, even letting those that wished have a go which added a lovely touch to our short stay.
We came to go to Drusillas so did not explore the area much but it looked beautiful with loads of walks and things to do, I'm sure we will return.
It was priced about right bearing in mind the facilities at £15 for the camper and us as a family, I hope they do well in their new venture and the camping helps them keep the farm running the way they want to, I'm sure this site will grow with new facilities as it does good luck you deserve it.
