We stayed in our touring caravan over the Easter break 2015. We got a very friendly welcome from the wardens, shown to our pitch quickly and given a really good overview of the facilities on site.
The pitch we had was hardstanding with a grass area for the awning and was a reasonable size.
The toilet block, washing up area and laundry area were very well maintained and spotlessly clean all of the time.
There is a good children's playing area and the wardens were very friendly throughout our visit.
There is a small bar on site offering food which is very good value for money.
The Swan Inn in near by Islip also does excellent food.
Overall an excellent site and we would definitely go back!
After a not so nice stay at another campground in Oxford earlier in the month, we did not expect too much. We were therefore very nicely surprised about the warm welcome and nice facilities. The campground was very well signposted, it was easy to get to and very near to the A34 and two P&R's to Oxford. The toilets and showers were immaculately clean and it was nice and quiet. The tent site was even and, with not too many stones in the ground, it was easy to put up our tent. The staff was very welcoming and helpful all during our stay. We would stay there again any time and can highly recommend it!
Fabulous site. Neat and tidy, the facilities were spotless, toilets and showers clean and fresh, absolute luxury. Stayed a second day to get all the washing done and dried in an excellent laundry room. The pool area is a Sun trap and looked good. We had the added bonus of heavy horses being driven in the field next to the van. Lovely wardens, really helpful, we will be coming back.
This is a great campsite with friendly wardens, nice clean toilets, dishwashing area etc.
However, initially we were allocated pitch 35 which had a fairly large underground wasps nest and as soon as we began to pitch our folding camper they were swarming. We immediately went back to reception to tell the warden and he came back to the pitch armed with just Dethlac and fly spray of some description, which obviously wasn't doing anything - this needs professionally removing! We were quickly allocated another pitch (although our unit only just about fit on it and there was a lot of road noise) but apart from that, we did enjoy our stay.
We also found it a shame that the pub only opened on the Saturday night.
There were two lovely walks right by the campsite, one went across the fields up into Bletchingdon village and the other was a bridle way that ran the along the side of the campsite up to Kidlington.
What a fantastic little site this is. Friendly welcome, escorted to our pitch and everything was immaculate. We loved the outdoor pool, which is is solar heated and on the days we tried it was about 20 degrees. Another bonus was the utility room, really cheap to do a wash and dry, plus there was a microwave. The showers and toilets were fantastic, spotlessly clean and well laid out. Top tip, there are plenty of places to visit in the area including Oxford and Bleinheim Palace but if you are willing to travel a bit further try the Warner Brothers Studio Tour (Harry Potter. ) It's a 1hour drive but well worth a visit.

I stayed here with my Mum and two daughters for 3 nights from Thursday to Sunday in the middle of August. What a lovely site. Small, but friendly staff, clean facilities, and great amenities for the kids. I left my gas burner at home and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. They printed maps out for me to find the local Go Outdoors store.
Great campsite, well laid out large hard standing pitches for motorhomes/caravans with hedges between. Nice clean facilities, including several showers, toilets and washing up/laundry areas. Unfortunately the bar/snack bar was closed for a few days when we were there (Aug 2014) so can't comment on this. Staff really friendly and helpful, warden assisted us with using the motorhome point, to fill up with water and dispose of waste water etc and guide us onto pitch. Fresh bread/croissants etc can be pre-ordered the previous day which was handy. There was also a open air swimming pool which looked nice, although we didn't use it.
Nice pub, the Blacks Head in Bletchingdon village, a half hour walk through open fields which the dog loved. Bicester is only 15 mins drive if you need supermarkets or other shops. Would definitely return again, but remember to take everything you need if you are not planning to drive during your visit.
Just returned from a week at this lovely site. Helpful staff and level pitches. Our pitch was a bit on the small side and the awning ended up being half on the hard standing and half on the tiny bit of grass. There wasn't a lot of room between us and the next pitch and for two days had the neighbouring car parked right outside our awning. Having said that the toilet block was very clean, biggest shower head in the showers we've ever seen, lovely hot water and a shelf for your shower gel in the shower. The pool was great, although solar heated wasn't that warm, in fact some might say it was freezing but once in you soon warmed up. We had Take away from the bar on the Saturday night, a shame it was the only night they did food as it was very nice. We didn't hear the road noise, we found the site very quiet, especially during the week. Good access to the site and surrounding area.
We stayed with our daughter and 18 month old grandson for two nights. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Even though the site was busy, the standard of cleanliness was excellent. The spotless toilet block included a family bathroom with bath appreciated by our grandson. There was plenty of hot water, space and hooks in the showers. I liked the attention to detail in the site;-steps for children to reach the sinks, bowl of water for dogs near the loos and picnic tables here and there. There was plenty of space in the playground to have a ball game and the equipment was fine for us with a toddler. The pool area was good, again with picnic tables. We would have liked to have had a pub/restaurant within walking distance. The main road was very busy and without pavements and the public footpath was not suitable for a pushchair. The washing up/laundry room was really clean, even supplied wash up liquid.
A very pleasant site with extremely nice and helpful staff. Good clean facilities but, I do think the bar should be open more than Friday and Saturday night in peak season. All the site was kept clean and tidy but, a little limited for dog walks. Conveniently situated to visit places. The only drawback for us was the traffic noise especially in the morning but, maybe some pitches were quieter.

The staff are all very friendly. The toilets and showers spotless. The swimming pool was solar heated and clean and as warm as can be expected for an outdoor pool in this country. The bar was nice and the games room was great for wet weather. Kept hearing the words 'have you got a 50p' for the teddy grab machine.
Walking was limited, but it was a nice walk into Bletchingdon and on to Kirtlington. The Oxford park and ride was very close by.
The pitches were a good size, the only thing I would say is give them the correct size of your unit when booking. Some of the pitches are not as deep as others, so if your booked on a pitch too small and they are full you could come unstuck.
Hate to say it because it will probably be fully booked next time we return, but I would recommend this site as one of the best we have visited.
I stayed at this site with friends in June 2013 and was very impressed with the wardens and the site, so I planned a 2nd trip with 2 other families and our children. When we arrived we were shown to you pitches (x 2) and they demanded that we have car, tent, car, tent - which meant there was a car in between our 2 tents which isn't ideal. We asked if we could park, car, tent, tent car and was told that he didn't want the site to look like a car park. This was a ridiculous demand that we adhered to, to keep the peace.
The warden then kept walking past our tents inspecting which was very off-putting when you are trying to have a family holiday.
The next day, a friend came to visit and we were accused of not booking her into reception and not paying for our pitch. It was an awful weekend, we were treated appallingly and I can't believe I recommended them.
Management response: We were surprised this customer felt it appropriate to comment on their stay since it was with reluctance that, within 24 hours of their arrival, we had to take the unprecedented step of asking this group to leave our quiet, family park and their pitch fees were refunded in full. (For the benefit of future guests, please note that we ask that a car is kept between adjacent tents to ensure that the fire safety gap is maintained. On our very small park, we also request that only one car is parked on each pitch)
We wanted somewhere close to home so I didn't have to spend too long on the road. We had a really relaxing weekend.
The pool was great and although busy it was never overcrowded. We had a great evening in the bar. The toilet and showers were of a very high standard and the friendliness of all the staff made it a really enjoyable stay.
This is a great site, with good facilities and very friendly staff. There is an on site shop which stocks all the basic essentials. The site also has a bar and serves food, we did use the bar, but didn't get any food, so can't comment on that. The site is well laid out and our pitch was really good. The hard standing pitches where we were all separated by hedging, so give a good degree of privacy. We also had a grassed area at the rear of our pitch, which made it even better. There was a play area and a field for the kids, which kept ours happy! The toilets and showers were very clean and there is also under cover dishwashing facilities and a laundry.
Can't really fault the site at all to be honest. The only improvement I could think of would be if they had superpitches. But the lack of them is only a minor thing and we would definitely return to this site again regardless.
The area is well placed for Oxford, Bicester or more local shopping in Kidlington, which has a good sized Sainsburys and several takeaways.
All in all, a good weekend on a site which we can highly recommend.
We used this site as a family weekend away. We came as a group of 8 and needed two pitches. We were placed next to each other in a corner which was perfect. The Pitch was of a generous size and was grassy and flat. Facilities were outstanding and well maintained. The Laundry facilities were a reasonable price. We appreciated the lovely little touches throughout the site such as flowers in the bathroom and cloths by bathroom sink, washing up liquid and cloths were provided by plate sinks. There was the use of a freezer and microwave. The Showers were very clean and practical with a curtain to separate wet/dry area. Children's play area was small but quite satisfactory for my 7 and 4 year old. The games room provided fun in the wet weather offering table games such as pool and football or a choice of old Skool board games such as frustration. ( Provided a few laughs). An all round safe and pleasant site.
