We booked the site for 3 nights and on the day we arrived our teenage son and his friend came with us. The reception were very helpful and booked the boys in happily.
We were escorted to our pitch (18) which is level and gets some shade from a nearby tree.
The site is very pretty, quiet and picturesque.
There is a large central park area with lots of space for games, there is a badminton net and putting green (50p pp for ball/putter).
We liked the fact that the grounds are well kept, and the pitches all have their own water supply.
The reception area and shop is attractive with flowers in tubs outside.
The shop is small but sells homemade cakes and shortbread, and has fresh bread and croissants etc.
There is no lighting after dark so make sure you take a torch to the showers/toilets when you go.
The local Hopper bus comes to the site regularly and goes into Sidmouth.
There are recycling bins around the site, which is useful.
We found the shower and toilet block to be very disappointing. The decor is dated and tired, and I didn't see evidence of regular cleaning myself. The shower cubicles are narrow and you only have hooks on the back of the door to hang your stuff. It's close so it will get wet! There is nowhere suitable to get dressed. I found that while I was drying carefully in the cubicle and trying to put on clean clothes, someone started showering in the cubicle next to me and I was getting water splashes up my legs.
The toilets are also narrow - you will be right up against the sanitary disposal units (not nice at all!)
Our boys stayed one night, and the owner kindly refunded the 2 nights they didn't use, back to us.
We decided to leave on Sunday afternoon after 2 nights and not stay the 3rd.
We enjoyed visiting Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Honiton, and the seeing the glorious countryside.
Overall, a nice site, but I would say it is a 3 star site.

On arrival receptionist was very nice. Was handed keys to caravan, would have been nice to be shown to the unit. Was hugely disappointed with the caravan. First thing that hit you was worn and dirty carpet in entrance. On entering, the kitchen fridge was rusty on the bottom of door. The floor wasn't clean. The upholstery was generally well worn. The roof was peeling. The cooker didn't work well at all, complained an was told that the 15mins we'd given to pre-heat wasn't enough. A meal that should have taken 30minutes took 1hr 15minutes. Some of the bulbs weren't working. The shower hose leaked an water took ages to drain away so you stood in the water. A Hoover was provided in the unit, but we tried to use it but there was no suction, on further inspection found the bag was full. We found through this all the caravan had not been thoroughly checked over before we arrived. It is advertised as 10 luxury caravans found this not to be the case, would not stop again. The children's park was good an the actually site was in a nice setting. Location was ideal. If the units were in better condition at the price they charge it would be a lovely place to stay. It would have been nice to have a welcome tray on the table to make it feel more welcoming but it felt very cold when you entered.

Just returned from a lovley stay at this campsite and what a lovely place it is.
Couldn't find fault with anything to be honest.
We had a choice of pitches and they picked the best one for us, level pitch with a sea view. The campsite was very quite and peaceful and we were so lucky with the weather, sun every day.
Amenities are very good, staff very friendly and the site is very close to Sidmouth and the beautiful Beer. I would recommend this site to anyone.

We visited this site on the recommendation of friends who live in the area, reason being it was close to all amenities, i. E. Donkey sanctuary, beaches, wonderful country pubs with good food.
The park itself was immaculate, with well maintained shrubberies and flower beds, and bowling green grass.
Pitches were a larger than normal size, where we were also had a concrete area just outside the caravan door, so you always went in with clean feet!
The little shop had only the bare essentials, a little disappointing, as the nearest shops were a fair way. We didn't really see a warden other than when we arrived, no doubt they were around.
There was a large field set aside as a dog run, with poo bags and bins, a wonderful area for your pooch to be free.
The shower block was ok, but considering the size of the site a little on the small side, laundry room covered all it should do.
Even though there were a couple of issues, we would definitely visit again when in the area. We had a thoroughly relaxing time.

We stayed here for a couple of nights over the early May Bank Holiday weekend. We phoned ahead but were told we still didn't need to book. It is a large site and so there is plenty of tent pitching space. Despite this, all campers were grouped together at one end. We would have preferred to put a bit of distance between ourselves and those with dogs and/or children.
The site is immaculate, pitches very clearly marked, toilets clean and tidy, plenty of hot water, shop, ice pack freezing facility etc. Etc.
Close to the coast with excellent walking in all directions. Good pubs nearby and shops in Sidmouth and a Tescos in Seaton.
You can't really fault this site, but somehow it lacked individuality, if you know what I mean.

Nice site. Owners very helpful. Showers were a bit basic and block layout was cramped. Be aware ladies that male cleaners appeared at 8:30am to clean the showers whilst they are still in use.
As there is no real drying area in the shower cubicle you may decide to dry yourself outside the cubicle (I was thinking about it) but this is still cramped and crowded at peak times. Add a couple of male cleaners to the mix and it is a tight squeeze!
Lovely bread and croissants from shop and good area around.

Lovely site with immaculate facilities and helpful staff.
Everyone on the site was friendly and we had a fab holiday. We visited Sidmouth for nice shops, the village of Beer (The Anchor Pub does great meals, The Bay View does the best breakfast), Boscombe, Lyme Regis and Charmouth for fossiling and great scenery.
Climbed Canonteign Waterfall near Exeter and went on to visit Teignmouth and Shaldon.
esco superstore in Seaton approx 15 minutes away or Waitrose a little nearer.

Really really excellent site. Lovely staff and so helpful. Pitches clean and tidy and not too close together.
Toilet/showers always clean and tidy when I used them. Washing facilities very good. Great play area for kids and adults.
If you don't mind a nice walk, then the pebble beach is good too, my grandkids messed about in the water while we went fossil hunting.
Donkey sanctuary just up the road is worth a visit, but a car is needed to go further afield to the supermarket (about 10 min) or Sidmouth.

What a fantastic and beautiful site. We arrived mid week to be helped to our pitch and van being parked for us. The site is kept to a very high standard. The toilets and showers were immaculate. Reception and shop had everything you needed.
The childs play area was great, as was the pitch and putt golf.
We visited 'beer' which was beautiful and 'Budliegh Salterton'. The donkey sanctuary was a hit with our son, so we went twice!
Sidmouth was very nice having a lovely beach /seafront and aray of shops.
The staff were all very helpful.
Thank you all!. This was one of our best holidays yet

What more can I say but what a truly fantastic site, you get what you pay for, as it was quite expensive, but wow, was it clean & beautifully maintained, customer service excellent,
They will park your van for you, receptionist was a charming helpful lady, site plan given on arrival, a really helpful gesture.
Lovely escape proof dog walk with poo bags & bins provided, loads of footpaths to really wonderful walks, or drive down the road & park at the wood to walk sidmouth hill, lovely easy walk this one,
Excellent clean toilets, showers etc, plenty of washing machines,
We were lucky to arrive the 4 days before bank holiday, it was fairly quiet, it was by the Friday totally full, but facilities were still adequate. Very good, no negative views at all.
Good play area for kids but all beaches in this area are stones & most slope quite steeply to the sea.
