Really beautiful camping spot, right next to a stunning river. We went in the rain and still had a good time!

Facilities are accessible and very clean and the owners are lovely!

Will be going back to Dinas campsite for sure.

Lovely couple who were pleasant and helpful. Showers were amazing and the site was well tended.

Very cheap and cheerful, will most definitely be returning.

There is a play area for children and the river was amazing, would be an ideal white water kayaking experience.

Excellent location for Bangor and various other sight seeing places.

Dinas Farm is ideally situated if you want to visit the beaches on Anglesey, explore Mt Snowden and it's surroundings or visit the large towns of Bangor and Caernarfon. If you like hiking, cycling beaching it or shopping it is all very close at hand.

The site itself has a river running down one side, it is full of boulders and if you have heavy rain it creates quite a lot of whitewater. If you don't like the sound of running water you can pitch away from the river and a band of trees which separate you from the pitches by the river would I think cut down the noise.

If you are pitching a tent beware the rocky ground, take care pegging out or you will bend a lot of tent pegs. In our stay we had thunderstorms and heavy rain on two days, but the wind never really came up so the site seems quite sheltered. The grassed area running from the owners house to the bottom of the hill is the area that gets the most sunshine, and the trees do block the evening sun on some parts of the site. You do get gnats in the early evening, but not great clouds of them as you would in Scotland, and they are only a minor irritation.

The toilet and shower facilities are not brilliant at the moment, but are perfectly adequate and kept very clean. They are only temporary structures while a new toilet shower block is being built. The showers are free, ample toilet paper and paper towels are always provided.

We paid £8 each per night which I think is very reasonable.

The couple who run the site are very friendly and I was able to keep ice packs in their freezer with no problems. I have read in some of the reviews that the owner driving round the site in his land rover or tractor was felt to be intrusive. But he is regularly emptying the bins, and having someone keeping an eye out meant it felt very safe to leave the site for day trips, with all our gear left on site, without feeling the need to lock everything away.

All in all there was a good mix of campers, caravanners and motorhomers with a cross spectrum of ages.

I would recommend Dinas Farm as a good base site for day trips in the surrounding area, with a 30 to 40 min drive being the longest time you will spend in the car. Staying on site is peaceful and relaxing and when the the new toilet/shower block is completed it would get a 10 out of ten for everything.

I have given a ten out of ten for child friendliness, but as we have no young children don't feel as though my rating holds any weight. There is a small playground and the children on site seemed quite happy using it. There is farm machinary at the bottom end of the site some of it old and rusty (which I have noted some reviews feel is unsafe for children, but there is also a river which is not fenced off, so parents keep an eye on your kids.

Lovely camp site, well organised and friendly. It is ideally situated for the zip line in Bethesda.

Showers and toilet facilities were clean.

Located next to a small river which generates a lot of background noise.

Would be happy to return.
