 Just returned from a weekend at this site, we have been a few times before and I have to say we are never disappointed. The staff are very friendly, when you arrive they take you to your site and help you position your van. The toilets are always clean with plenty of hot water in the showers. There is a dog walk just off site and plenty of other walks nearby into Richmond. All in all a very nice site which would certainly go back to.

Stayed at this campsite a couple of times and always found it a great place to camp.
Shower blocks always very clean even back in June when we has all that terrible rain.
Small shop on site which sells most of your basics.
Fantastic takeaway on site with delicious pizza well recommended.
Lovely walk into Richmond town, will be visiting this site again.

Having never visited this area before, we visited this site for the first time during Whit week. I provisionally booked just the weekend which left the option of moving on or staying depending on how we felt.
I was glad we did, although we had an excellent pitch right alongside the river, it was where the the grassed area got wider and provided what the campers thought was an ideal football practise area (they mix campers and vans in the wider area).
We were touring the surrounding area most of the time, which was fantastic but unfortunately I don't care for heavy leather footballs hit with force against my van. The staff on duty said nothing to the teenagers involved, although I did.
Had I stayed longer I may well have been in bother.
It spoilt what I thought was a site with great things going for it, well kept, great walks around local lakes, local pubs and fantastic scenery.

Just returned home from here today and this site and staff are brilliant. Very helpful and friendly with great facilities. Lots of room for the kids to play and the play area is great. The shop has most things you may need. The takeaway is a must as their pizza's are wonderful.
The toilets and showers are spotless and staff are walking round the site all day till late at night making sure everything is okay.
This is the first time i've been camping and it took my wife 2 years to talk me into it. My kids also loved it aged 2 & 7 years.
On leaving i've booked again for 3 weeks time as i'm sold on camping and looking now to buy a new bigger tent.

What a fantastic site !
Toilet and shower blocks all done out, smell of fresh paint still strong.
We went for four nights over Easter when site was really busy but there was still plenty of room. Pitches nice size.
River running through was lovely and the walks down the side were really nice.
Ideal for dogs as well.
Site owners were lovely and helpful.
Would definitely recomend and will be going again.
Don't get a curry from Tandoori nights. Waste of money and doesn't taste very nice at all.

I have just returned from my second visit to the park this year.
As before my family and I have had a excellent week at Brompton Caravan Park.
In the previous review it says that you can't use you own hairdryers / straighteners etc. In the toilet block we used, there were facilities which allowed you to do that. A really well kept and clean campsite with a wonderful atmosphere.
I do agree with the review where it says that the staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots for children to do. The takeaway was great - wonderful pizzas and breakfast to die for! Also an excellent well stocked shop with lots of chilled bottles of wine to go with your BBQ!
Definitely somewhere to return. I would recommend the campsite to anyone.

Arrived Friday evening of the bank holiday to be told our tent would be pitched next to the children's play area, not great for two adults on their own. When we booked we were not told where our pitch was (a mistake I will not make again). The staff did their best and moved us to a pitch at the end of the site with the caravans overlooking the tree lined river. Quiet spot (when it wasn't windy once the wind got up very noisy from the trees) not much interaction from the caravanners!
Toilet block basic and generally clean only 1 hairdryer - 20p! but didn't have to wait long, no mention that you are unable to use your own hairdryers, straighteners etc.
Could do with a pub on site or in walking distance. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and especially for those who had problems with gazebo's blowing away while they were out.
Overall nice scenery but not sure if we would return

I have just come back from this campsite after the May bank holiday.
It is a nice clean site, only problem is there is no bar, which means you sit around your own caravan, trying to enjoy yourself (bank holiday) but I'm sorry to say that the workers are around 10pm onwards telling you to keep the noise down!
We also thought that is was expensive for what is on the site.
Not sure if I would rush back, even if it is close to Richmond.

Stayed here for a weekend with the kids , The site is somewhat basic nothing much for the kids ! It is far from the cheapest campsite and really does need some modernisation !

We visited this site over the Easter weekend. There were 4 units of us all with children or dogs. This site is absolutely great - large playing field and park for kids, excellent dog walk, all site staff were friendly and helpful even down to helping us to pitch. Large plots, it was to all of us a most enjoyable weekend and will most certainly be visiting again

Stayed here for one night, during a caravan rally and found it to be a good site. Facilities were clean and abundant, if in need of some modernisation. Shop was well stocked, but takaway closed till next season. We had booked our pitch but arrived to find they had no record of it and had to make do with a damp grass pitch - luckily our camper is 4 wheel drive! All in all a clean site in a nice location with ample good facilities to take large numbers of people - recommended.

My family and I have just returned from this site for the 3rd time this year. As always we have thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.
The toilets were immaculate, the site is kept beautifully and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We would recommend this site to everyone especially families as the river is excellent for playing in and they have an excellent play park.

Stayed here during the August Bank Holiday. Not the cheapest site but certainly one of the most organised. River behind the site is great for kids to play in (under supervision of course) and there is also an enclosed playground where you can keep an eye on the kids from large parts of the park. Well stocked shop on site and also a take away which does pizzas, chips, kebabs. You can walk into Richmond in less than an hour. Only small complaint was that the showers were not kept very clean, but it was bank holiday and very busy. I would certainly stay again.

Just back from here, and it is indeed a good site. Everything clean, and virtually no queues for anything. Playground well situated as it could be seem easily from all sides. Stream lovely and good for all ages (my 2 year old son spent ages paddling and trying to skim stones like his dad!) The only thing | would say was that it did get quite busy and the camping field got very full at the weekend but that shows how popular it is!

Just been again for the second time this year. This has got to be my favourite campsite of all. The weather was glorious so going in the river to cool off was great. I couldnt get my boys out of there. We were having such I good time we stayed an extra night. The take-away was yet again to die for an added bonus when its too hot to cook, and the shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. The site is very clean and well kept.
booking up again soon. Cant wait!
