 The holiday cottage Broken Brea was really spacious and had all the facilities required readily available.
The location was perfect with great views overlooking the River Swale quite happily stay there again.
Great staff very accommodating.

Unfortunately for us we arrived in the school holidays, glad to say this did not cause a problem the site is so big we managed our privacy.
The location is perfect for walking to/from Richmond

Good location, great pitch for us right on the river side.
A very helpful staff but for us far to many kids on site.

Great campsite right on the river swale. Husband bought a fishing ticket for £5 for the day.
Camp site was lovely and clean. Great toilet and shower facilities. Great dish washing and clothes washing facilities a games room which we didn’t use or visit. There is a telephone box which is used as a library which is a great idea.
There is a takeaway on site and a shop for fresh produce. A lot of caravans are sited there as it’s a great place just outside Richmond a beautiful town with great facilities as petrol, Lidl, eateries, swimming pool, cinema and then there’s Catterick garrison a town in itself with great shopping facilities. Most large stores from next to Cotswolds outdoor tesco. It has camping pods which seemed popular.
Easby abbey is a great walk that takes you through to Richmond where you can have a drink or something to eat at The Station. The old railway station turned into a
Place of interest. It has a restaurant. A sweet shop and bakery. It has three cinema screen and gift shops and an art gallery.
There is a separate area where you can let your dog off the lead.
I hope I’ve sold you this gem of a campsite

After a few years site as I remembered it from a previous visit.
Disappointed to find that many pitches are taken by permanent caravans that ruin the appearance and make site look like a holiday park.
Weekend was very busy with children running around and dogs left to poo on the river bank. Not healthy for children and worried about car getting damaged.
After weekend things quietened down great views became available and we enjoyed the stay from then on.
Richmond, local countryside and available walking very good.
For me weekends a no go but midweek stays good.

This was a lovely flat and sunny site.
Very clean with great facilities.
A taxi collected us and took us into Richmond and back after the theatre so all very convenient.
Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Good location lovely site.
Only dislike were the showers were stone cold.
Nice walk to Easby Abbey and can carry on to Richmond where there's several pubs cafes n shops.
Park for kids also football pitch n goals for a kick about.
Nicely located next to river swale.

Our 1st time at this site, with my wife, daughter and 2 grandchildren.
This is a lovely well kept site, the amenities are very good and well maintained, the staff are very helpful and can't do enough for you.
We spent 6 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our break, the large playing area and field accompanied by the near by river meant the kids were never bored, and had a great time.
All in all this is a very popular site and after staying here we can see why, loved it

We had been meaning to stay on this site for a couple of years, so decided to try it out this year.
We had a good pitch close to the river, on the quieter part of the park. (It is a popular seasonal pitch site, but was very quiet in early June)
The shower and toilet blocks were spotlessly clean and within easy access of our pitch.
The site is within easy reach of Richmond, Catterick Village and Garrison which are handy for shops and pubs. There is in fact a lovely 2 mile walk from the site to Richmond via Easby Abbey.
Richmond has a variety of local shops and Lidl supermarket. There is a Tesco and Aldi at Catterick Garrison.
We will definitely return to Brompton for another trip in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very nice surroundings! Toilets and showers are not clean!
There was a bandaid in the shower for a week! Used the same mop that had been there all week to wash the floors.
Staff seemed only interested in the long term stays, had no time for us spending a short break.
Would not recommend, very disappointing indeed.

Staff friendly and helpful.
Had a lovey stay
The weather was great even if a bit hot 🥵. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends & family.

The site is a nice quiet, level and adult only site on the outskirts of Brompton on swail. The village boast a friendly pub which does good value for money food ( note the pub is cash only) there is a small village shop as well.
The site itself only has a 6amp power supply so you need to be careful what you plug in.
The toilets a clean but when the site is busy they can cause congestion due to them being all in one( shower, toilet and basin)and only 4 of them.
To book the site you will either have to email the owner or try calling. They are not on site so all the fees are done by bank transfer
Would I stay again? Yes probably because of the area, found plenty to do around Richmond which is only a 10 minute drive
