Camping and Caravanning Club Site - outstanding site - swimming pool excellent if small - showers great and free - shop very good - flowers all over - Electric at £2:75 a night is VERY Expensive!!!!!!! - fishermen will love it - dog lovers will love it - its GREAT!!

Only just found this site, so thought I'd add a retrospective report - only 7 yrs ago. My wife and I have very fond memories of a hot summer holiday on this campsite with two small boys (8 + 7), and visits to Bembridge.
I don't like busy sites, more of a field man myself, but after the first day I was won over to this spacious, very quiet site, and we sued the pool and takeaway on a regular basis. Always meant to get back, never have.

The site is on the gentle lower slopes of Brading Downs. Many pitches are level. The site has an outdoor heated swimming pool and paddling pool, Children's adventure playground, and one of the best stocked camping and Caravanning accessory shops on the Island.
Showers and washing facilities are excellent, with some 'family shower rooms' big enough for 4 people, baby baths and hair dryers in both of the shower blocks. There is a coin-op launderette, irons and spin-dryers.
The site has a dog walk field with poop scoops, and many hook-ups. There's a stream adjacent with fishing, horse rides in one of the adjoining fields, and some children's activities on various days of the week - punch and Judy show, magic show. The site has a small take away, but no bar (nearest pub 1 mile), so is quiet at night.

We stayed at Adgestone near Sandown for 1 Week of our summer holiday.Although we were not keen on the Isle of wight itself, we could not fault the site, it was lovely, flowers everywhere,well laid out big pitches in blocks of about 8 in each avenue,a lovely swimming pool which was open for adults only, first thing in the morning.good clean toilets and showers a brilliant shop selling every thing including an enormous amount of caravan spares etc, a takeway and very good play park for the younger children .we have 2 dogs and the doggie field was excellent, seats and floodlit in the evening.for people with out teenages like us it was the best site we have stayed on.
