 We have just come back from four superb days at this site and would highly recommend it.
The facilities are first class,heated toilet/shower block, drying and washing facilities plus a pan washing room all kept spotless.
There is lots of room between pitches with low box hedging separating them and electric hook up at no extra charge, the ponds are beautifully landscaped and well stocked and if like us you don,t fish your made just as welcome.
They have a shop/cafe next to the main lake which does very good food and even offers an evening take away, just out side the site is a post office and general store plus a very nice country pub with garden that also does good food and a wicked real ale lol.
Although the area generally does not have much to visit it is very well serviced by link rounds to the coast (about 20 mins).We will definitely be going back to this site.

We have just come back from a 4 day stay at this fishery/ camp site there was four adults , one baby and one dog in our party. We had booked a premier pitch which gives you access to your own private swim for fishing around the main large lake but unfortunately when we arrived we realised that our large caravan with full awning would not fit onto the pitch we had reserved but the owners came to our aid and transferred us over to a much larger pitch again with its own swim without any problems at all.
The area is beautifully kept and has glorious walks through fields and woods. The toilet/ shower facilities were in portakabins but were more than adequate and spotless although they did not have baby changing facilities which was a shame.
On site is a wood cabin that sells basic groceries and is also a cafe where you can get hot and cold food to eat in or take -away the all day breakfast was great!
There is also a main camping area away from the fishing lakes that had its own toilet/shower facilities and a children's play area again the grounds were immaculate. The local shop which stays open til about 9pm was very handy and we had a nice cooked meal in the local pub also.
Horsham is only a 10 minute drive away which is a nice market town to visit and the local take aways are about 10 mins drive away also. All in all we had a great brake we had good fishing and will definitely be back !

What a beautiful site. For fisherman (which we are not) this must be the perfect site with 3 lakes to choose from you can even camp around the larger lake & have your own 'swim'. The location is peaceful & beautiful with lots of country walks. In the centre of field we were in was a children's play area visible from most pitches, & was a hive of activity all day, this field backed on to woodland with lovely pathways through to fields of cows & the match lake, also the route to the village store away from the road. The site is quite small so only having two showers in each block wasn't a problem & we never had to wait. The toilet blocks were always clean & tidy despite having some bad weather.
All the staff we met were really nice & very helpful. At recpetion there is a lovely restaurant/cafe that does lovely freshly cooked food & breakfast. This site also has a tv cable point on your hook up post but it is a screw type fitting (a fellow camper informed us it was the type you use for sky boxes?) but reception hire them for $1.50 a day + deposit.
In all this was a wonderful site & we will definitely be going back very soon & would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from it all in beautiful surroundings.

We went to visit this site two weeks previous to our stay. We were shown around and told which of the pitches were available. We chose a large pitch on a corner as we were hoping that our friends would visit and be able to pitch their tent on our pitch too. We booked the pitch and paid a deposit. When we arrived, the reception told us that the warden was not available and that if we knew where our pitch was, to go ahead and set up camp. This we did, and it wasn't until our friends turned up to pitch later on that we were aware of any problem. Our friends arrived at 6pm and were told that it was late to arrive, then the wardens told us that we were camped on the wrong pitch and should be on the pitch next door. Apparently there was a miscommunication between the front desk staff and the computer! We were told to pitch our friends tent as the computer was down but we may have to vacate the next day. After spending an hour setting up their tent, we were all exhausted and needed a rest. Then the wardens came back to say that there were other clients who had booked our pitch arriving the next day and that we would have to vacate in the morning. The wardens were openly annoyed at the reception staff and told us that they were pleased to be leaving the site quite soon for another job. The next day it was far too hot to be moving our camp (it takes us about an hour and a half of hard graft to set up camp) so we stayed put, feeling that the reception had made a mistake and it was up to them to sort things out. After all it was supposed to be a holiday for us rather than a second job! The wardens did sort it out, giving the arriving campers the two sites next to us. However, it turned out that there were at least two other pitches completely free the whole time we were all there and the arriving party who had booked 'our' pitch left the day we did! What an unnecessary debacle! I feel it marred our otherwise lovely break.
Apart from this incident, the campsite itself is great. Clean, free hot water, brilliant showers, we hardly ever had to wait for a shower or to wash up, the woods surrounding were fantastic for the kids and the cafe did great food and was a cool refuge in the heat. There was a huge fridge and another fridge freezer available for free use. The pub up the road is very accessible but we went there to find a very disgruntled landlord who had four families awaiting food orders. He said food would be an hour and a half wait. We went into Horsham to eat instead and found ourselves unwilling to go back to the pub the next evening. Two things would make the campsite even better - a communal firepit for general use, (what is a campsite without a campfire?) and a chest freezer so everyone can fit their ice blocks in without having to take everything out and wedge it all back in again! We will go back I think, but will make sure that the pitch number is written on our booking!

We have just come back from a 1 week stay. Weather was not great but did not spoil our fun. A quiet peaceful site toilets and showers very clean. Wardens on site very friendly and helpful with there cute little dog Bazil.
Fishing was great my husband used the small lake and caught a big carp much to his delight and I enjoyed sitting in beautiful scenery.
We used the local buses which we found very good. If you are going to use more than 1 bus in 1 day get an explorer ticket from bus driver £6 per adult.
Local shop very good with friendly staff. We also used local pub food very good. Both in walking distance of site so no drink driving problems.
We will use again.

We have just come back from a weekend stay at Sumner Ponds. A lovely site. We had two other units with us-another large tent and a camper van. We had booked to be together which we were but the pitches were so big there was a lot of space in between! Two of us had VERY large tents and never had such large pitches before.
We didn't go for the fishing but could see it as a big attraction if you have a licence. The site was extremely attractive and scenic and very well run.
The washroom facilities were extremely clean and nice little touches such as towel rails and benches and loads of hooks in the showers. The showers are push buttons which was a bit disappointing, however could see why after trying them as they are beautifully warm and powerful and you didn't want to get out!
Only downside was there was only 2 showers (mens and ladies) and no basins in cubicles which could be a problem for some.
The central playground was nice but more for younger children. We took the kids bikes which was a great success.
All in all very pleasant stay.

This was a lovely site. We weren't there for the fishing, but had a great pitch set just back from lakeside. Hadn't realised anglers chat well into the night with some choice language and beepers going off all the time. That said, this is a LOVELY campsite, excellent VERY clean facilities, well maintained grounds and staff completely helpful and customer service was second to none. I would love to return.
Great location for so many days out too.

WE stayed here in April had lovely weather got sunburnt !
Lovely site, toilets all clean, great views, nothing better than sitting by the lake with a beer.
Sites so good were going back in september.

We have just spent a week at the campsite which we found very enjoyable.
After choosing the pitch which for an extra few pounds a night gave us a reserved swim to the lake which was great considering you can actually fish the same swim or bait up the same swim all week & fish the same spot.
There are 3 lakes in total at the campsite a large one where we camped then a small one which has a wide variety of fish & then there is a match lake about 10 mins walk from campsite through some woods.
Ther campsite itself is well looked after with a full time baliff to keep an eye for illegal anglers.
They have a lodge where you can have food or drink from & if you are fishing you can buy worms or boilies.
The toilets where very clean & so where the showers.A miop & bucket are left inside the door & we found that bmost people cleared up after themselves which was great
The day ticket anglers use different toilets than the campers so it is more private.
We found sumners campsite very pleasant & a family run campsite.
The scenery is just great with all the ducks & geese & some creeds to look at if you do not like angling.
Horsham town centre is only 10 mins drive away but for emergency supplies there is a local shop about 2 mins dive.

Upon arrival, met by Simon who led us to our pitch right on the bank of the lake. All staff very friendly, including Basil, the Shitzu with 'Camp Warden' on his tag. Toilet block and showers very clean, helped I suspect by everyone mopping up after each use. The lake field gives each pitch plenty of room so make sure you remember your long hook up lead. We had a hard stand pitch which made life very easy for set up on a wet day.
The on site cafe is excellent and at the time of year we went, offered evening meals Friday and Saturday, but booking early is advised. Fishing was very good, with Carp being caught up to 25lbs while we were there. No such luck for me, just small Bream and Roach,but my wife had nice examples of Chub and Carp.
We had to leave early as the car we brought with us developed a problem and I needed to get it home and fixed ready for work the following week, but Sumners Ponds were good enough to give me a credit note for the nights we didn't stay. Even without that, we would definitely return.

Just returned from a week-end stay at Sumners Pond. A beautiful site, very tranquil, lots of wood-land walks. We stayed in our tent - the only one there, but it is nearly December! Site is immaculate, shower/loo block superb, under-floor heating and power showers. All the amenities were spotless and wardens are very friendly. Probably the cleanest site I've visited to date. Tried a bit of fishing, complete novice though and caught nothing! We hope to return at Easter next Year with friends. Would highly recommend this site - especially for a quieter break.

Came for the first time for a long weekend and have booked again for October! Had a hardstanding on the lakeside - what could be better than opening the curtains to a view of the lake? The facilities were excellent and very very clean. Lovely hot showers! Staff and fellow campers very friendly. Went down to the local pub for an evening meal which was very good too! Came with two keen fishermen and was happy watching them and enjoying the surroundings! Would not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed in the main field where the park is and the toilet shower block, washing up, free fridge and freezer which is very handy as the local shop was ok but not great. Very peaceful,
woodland walks lovely, managed to hear woodpecker.
The wardens Eddie, Lorna and Basil the dog well what can one say, they are friendly, helpful and work very hard to keep site to a very high standard.
The ponds are great and we will be going back once we have our fishing gear.

Arrived mid morning, pulled onto the site and got stuck in the wet rally field. A couple of signs would not go amiss with directions park up here and go to the reception. With a caravan in tow it isn't a good idea to go exploring.
We were shown to our pitch close to the two lakes and the shop/cafe and the relaxing holiday took off from there.
Being an angler you are spoilt for choice, bagging up in the match lake, relatively easy fishing in the small lake or try for the biggies in the large lake, the choice is yours.
The toilets are immaculate and they are dog friendly with great walks on and off the site. Never saw any accidents left by dog owners either.
I will definitely stay here again, it is well kept, friendly and a great place for exploring the south coast. Horsham is a delight, use the park and ride great value at £1.50 for a car and passengers.

We turned up at this site to a warm welcome. We stayed 3 days. Lovely site, very clean. Toilet and showers were spotless. Lots of people fishing but that is what this site is about. Site shop close by.
Some of the others on site were bit noisy as they had caught a big fish at 5:30am. If you were going there just to camp try some where that does not have fishing on site.
Over all very good site will go back.
