 This is a very pleasant and spacious new site. It comprises a one-acre field (slightly bumpy in places!) with a mature hedge along one edge and newly planted hedges on the other three sides (with fields beyond), and a small fishing lake in another smaller field near the shower/toilet block. (Note that the lake is unfenced, so young children must be supervised on that part of the site). There are 6 hookups/pitches spread along the one edge of the field (taking up about a fifth of the field) and the other 4 pitches are scattered around the rest of the field. If you don't need electricity, then you can have a HUGE pitch!
The shower/toilet block is new (portacabin style) and very clean (with wheelchair access). One communal toilet, one ladies toilet with sink, one ladies shower (presumably duplicated on the mens side).
There is a public footpath running along the boundary of the site, so easy access for walks and exercising your dog.
Also very close the village and a pub.
The only drawbacks (mainly if you're in a tent) are that there is nowhere for washing up (you have to do it at your tent and boil a kettle), no mirrors at all(!) in the toilet/shower block and the only basins are in the toilet cubicles (so you can't clean your teeth without hogging the toilet!). The basins are also tiny - you would get water everywhere if you tried to wash anything other than your hands in them.
Having said all that, the owners are very friendly and the site is wonderfully spacious and clean. This is their first season but I'm sure they have a success on their hands.
