 Excellent site situated conveniently for exploring the local area.
The shower/toilet blocks were cleaned regularly and were therefore immaculate. Each shower cubicle also had a shower basin, and the separate shower basins all had a cubicle each. There was even a bath, although tokens required (showers free).
The site was clean and friendly. The tent field we were in had no marked pitches but was flat. There was a second field, which I believe had marked pitches and views of the loch.
The shop was excellent as you could order fresh bread and newspapers for the next day.
All in all, highly recommended.

We enjoyed this site, we stayed for 10 days in May alongside several friends who had travelled up to Scotland to be with us when we were married at Glenfinnan, a few miles down the road from Linnhe. The pitches are ok, and some have lovely views,the shower block is excellant and clean, we would recommend this site to anyone.

I read with interest the reviews posted below and felt obliged to respond in some way. Having toured extensively throughout the Highlands with our caravan for 6 weeks in July/August 2004, we actually found this site to be the worst we encountered. It was in fact a glorified dustbowl, with nice shrubbery. Pitch sizes were far too small - we were situated at the back with a caravan and motor home placed 3 feet either side, facing into our window. It was almost impossible to peg our ROCK pegs into the hard ground, and we actually broke some. The shop was extremely expensive, as was the launderette. The review below mentions unfriendly staff and we couldn't agree more. But he also claims this may have been because he is English. However, if he comes back to the Highlands, he will in fact discover that almost all campsites and local shops are in fact owned or run by re-settled English people. We stayed at 11 sites and never heard a single Scots accent until we came home to the Lowlands. Scary stuff!!!

Situated about 4 - 5 miles west of Fort William on the north bank of Loch Eil on the A830 "The Road to the Isles". The site is a mixture of static caravans, tourers and some tent pitches separated on landscaped terraces.
The site is beautifully maintained with a childrens play area. A dog walk is along the shingle shore of the loch below the lower terraces. It's quite eerie and also stunning to see how fast the loch flows from the adjoining Loch Linnhe which is tidal.
There are many places to visit in this beautiful part of Scotland. The western end of the Caledonian canal culminating in the nine descending locks of Neptunes Staircase, Ben Nevis, and of course Arisaig sadly bypassed by the new road. (It is still only two minutes from the new road).Catch the Calmac ferry from Malaig to Armadale on the Isle of Skye. Possibly the best trip is the West Highland railway train from Fort William to Mallaig through the superb scenery.
We've visited this site on previous occassions but have only experienced the notorious midge on our last visit. They still won't prevent me going again.

Very good and the best laid out site I have seen on terraces so you do not really see many other caravans / tents etc. Surrounded by Flowering shrubs & mature trees - they must employ a host of gardeners who are to be congratulated on their work. Confirm an earlier comment that the site never appears even half full when it is actually full. Showers (4 mens, 4 ladies meant queues at early peak times on good days for some 10 -15 minutes at times) & always had hot water for us. Cleaning was done over lunch time so by late morning the showers / toilets etc definitely seemed to be needing a good clean.
During heavy rain, the hard standings seemed well drained & good to place an awning on.
For us, the owners (?) at reception were really miserable & were notable by their uncheerfulness. Or maybe it was because we were english? This aside, a truly great site. Would go again. Much better experience all round than stuck in a field with 50 other vans.
Allegedly one of the best in Scotland I would argue.

Just got back from this site. One word to describe this site is perfect, very clean and very well kept, good shop on site that sells freshly baked bread (you must order this the day before otherwise they will probably be sold out) one thing I noticed is that even though the site was fully occupied it wasn't crowded it was still fairly peaceful. Excellent views all around, Only wish I hadn't had the fully serviced pitch as these were at the back, lower terraces seem better to me.
Would definitely reccommend and would certainly return and as previously stated all staff were very helpful and friendly, well worth a visit!

Brilliant clean, beautiful site. Free showers, only complaint, if you aint in them by 9am then expect a cold one. Metered bath. Stunning views. Reasonable priced shop compaired to most campsite shops. Would definately recommend and will be going back myself.

Great site, clean, quiet. Beautiful views. Friendly staff on hand for any queries. Would definately visit again. Only advice would be, buy groceries from local shops in Corpach as on site is very expensive.

Easter 2003
Lovely clean site with fantastic views of the loch and mountains. Toilets and showers were excellent, clean and heated. Understandably seems a very popular site, you might want to ring before arriving at peak times in the summer. We would go again. (says it all!)
