 After touring for 3 weeks this was our last stop and we both agreed our favourite site. We stayed on the side with ehu but if weather was warmer we would have liked the non ehu by the river. However there was a d of e group there at the weekend so would avoid weekends.
Our field was surrounded by beautiful views sheep with entertaining lambs, and a field with inquisitive rams.
Toilet and showers were basic which we are happy with. The walk to Reeth along one side of the river and back along the other was fabulous and we saw lots of birdlife including redstart, goosander and willow warblers.
Reeth is pretty and we had coffee and cake at the copper kettle and visited the ice cream parlour which was a bonus.
Only minor drawback was a farmdog that barked a lot, but otherwise a fabulous stay!

Very friendly small site, with basic clean facilities.
Lovely area with great walks and cycling.
Easy access to Swale trail for biking and walking with some nice local pubs in walking distance.

Fantastic simple site - large field, no-one else around this time of year.
Really friendly and helpful owner - though busy with the farm most of the time.
Great area to explore with lots of walking and cycling straight from the site.
Few facilities this time of year but I'm happy with that and came knowing this to be the case.
I gather facilities are improved as the season opens properly. Nothing specially for children but plenty of space to make your own amusement. Thank you.

Scabba Wath is a small site in the Swaledale valley ideally located for lots of walks.
It has ample EHU and water posts and basic toilet and shower facilities.
Reeth is 2 miles away.

A lovely laid back campsite in a beautiful location.
Peaceful and never crowded with a great riverside location.
About 45mins walk along the river into Reeth for pubs can be done entirely off road.
Reasonable facilities and excellent value for money.

This is a perfect site in ideal surroundings for visiting Swaledale.
Excellent facilities and hosts.
Have stayed many times and cannot fault it.
Will definitely be returning.

Very peaceful (and small) grass campsite - EHU and water points @ all pitches (about six around the edge of the field).
Clean, functional (mixed use) loo and showers. Loses one point for wash-up facilities - they're there, but rudimentary (though, all in all, the facilities are quite adequate). Good recycling protocols!
Owner in process of handing over (to his son) and so farmhouse currently empty. However, if no one is around when you arrive the owner seems happy for visitors to 'pitch first, pay later'.
Beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales. Well worth a visit.

Lovely, old school site. Small site, plenty of room
With decent sized pitches. Scenic location. Located near the river with lots of good walking opportunities from the site.
A 2 mile walk to Reeth.
Facilities are adequate and clean with 2 toilets and a shower. Friendly and easy going owners.
This is one of the most relaxing locations I have visited and will visit again.

Excellent site with panoramic views.
Facilities are first class and host Robert is very helpful.
Have stayed many times and will continue to do so. Ideal for exploring the wider area too.
