 A huge improvement! We'd stayed here years ago and it was one of our favorite sites. Then the management changed and we stopped going. So we were a little apprehensive about giving it another go when we heard new people had taken over.
However, there was nothing but professionalism and friendliness from the first email enquiry to arrival. Ka
Ren was lovely and made us feel at ease and able to enjoy our weekend. It was very popular and busy on the main field where we used to stay, but this time we tried hardstanding on the Riverside.
The pitches were neat and well laid out. The grass was short and maintained, and the water and EHU was within easy access.
There was chemical toilet disposal near the gate, but you had to cross the road to the main site to dispose of grey waste which was the only drawback.
We didn’t use the facilities as we have our own so can't comment. And there was also a small shop at reception but we didn’t buy anything on this occasion.
The noise from the road didn't bother us either, as it does with some people in previous reviews.
So after a huge sigh of relief, we can't wait to return and call this our favorite site again.

Great basic stopover site. Good facilities that were well maintained and clean.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the privacy of the shower/toilet cubicles.
Peaceful surroundings and a good pub just a minutes walk away.
Will definitely return.

Quick and easy booking, directed to the best appropriate pitch and advised on the location of facilities etc.
Stayed one night to test the recently purchased kit and assess what we may need in the future.
The only down side was traffic on the main road, I really didn't anticipate how frequent & noisy it was, added to being under the flight path to Manchester airport and freight trains the noise was disturbing.

Lovely site good price nice and quiet, travelled as a couple with dog.
Lots of places to walk including the ressy, lots of pubs nearby to offering home cooked food at reasonable price.
Such a lovely area to visit.

This is a really well laid out site with very large pitches which is marred by being next to a busy road and under an airport flight path!
We had very little sleep due to traffic and aircraft noise, which is a shame because the site is set on the edge of the moors with access to numerous walks of various lengths and difficulty, most having at least one pub on the route.
Unfortunately, because of the noise we won't be returning.

Laverick Hall Caravan Site - Lancaster
This touring site offers spectacular views towards the Lake District and Morecambe Bay, with Blackpool Tower also in the distance, yet located just over 3 miles from Junctions 34 and 35 of the M6 motorway. Visitors will find just 10 electric pitches for motorhomes and touring caravans, with access to the superfast Wifi, toilets with sinks, a shower room and fresh water taps. Dogs are allowed and there is a designated field for walks.
The local village of Halton is a mile away from the site, offering a convenience store, newsagent, pharmacy, post office and fish and chip shop. The market town of Carnforth is 3 miles away, with its train station (featured in the 1945 film Brief Encounter) and supermarkets. The seaside resort of Morecambe is within 5 miles and the Lake District is only 35-minutes drive. Find out more here

Absolutely brilliant.
We like a spacious campsite with friendly and unobtrusive hosts.
We like lots of local walks but also love good pubs and friendly patrons.
This has everything in abundance and we will be back.

We stayed by choice on one of the 5 or 6 hard standing pitches across the road because it was more sheltered. (The main pitches looked well-mown with lovely views. )
Water and leccy very close, toilet waste close. We used our own facilities most of the time.
Toilets and showers well cared-for and clean, though no hot water in basins. Had little contact with owners.
Apparently there's a shop, but didn't see it. Price seemed high for what we used.
Lots of interesting things to see in Saddleworth, especially if you like Victorian industrial infrastructure.
Great walks EVERYWHERE you look. Dog walks plentiful from the site.

Had a lovley stay as always, last stay for this season as sold our van.
