This is a large commercial site set on the shore of Ossiacher See in the Alps. We stayed here en route to Italy for 3 nignts. English is spoken at reception, staff were very helpful. The site has a variety of pitches of different sizes. Be sure to let them know your unit size as some were quite tight with little space in between. We were on a terraced pitch near the road overlooking the lake.
Toilets are modern & very clean but may be a bit of a walk from your unit & the paths can be steep. The washing up sinks can be a bit of a bottleneck in the evenings, we always had to queue to wash up. The camp site shop is very well stocked & bakes fresh bread & fantastic cakes. The butchers was excellent with lovely BBQ packs. There is a large ALDI near the motorway junction. There is a clubhouse & a restaurant which looked nice though we didn't eat there.
There are several good children's play areas streached along the lake & the beach area is brilliant with large inflatables for the children to climb on & jump/slide into the water. You can hire pedallos & canoes as well as motorboats etc. From the lake shore.
There is a ferry service on the lake that calls at a jetty on the site so walks & visits to local towns are easy. There is a fantastic bob sleigh run a couple of KM up the road that my son loved. The restaurant over the road from reception was lovely, with a beautiful terrace to watch the sun go down over the lake.
A good site set in fantastic countryside, certainly worth a visit. Don't forget your Austrian Vignette if you want to use the motorway.
