 We spent the weekend at LeoBay Campsite. The drive in was narrow and quite industrial looking so it was a lovely surprise and a relief to drive into the small but beautiful campsite.
The individual bays are secluded with a grassy area, picnic table and a planter box. With easy electric and water hook ups.
There is a larger garden area with with flowers, trees, a water feature, tables and chairs and a covered area with comfortable seating and a pool table.
The facilities are large and clean with shower and toilet. And an area with a large sink for washing up etc.
The site is family run and they are incredibly friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
The proprietor runs a workshop and is very knowledgable about all things campervan and happy to give advice and tips.
All in all it was the most relaxing weekend I've had in ages!

We have recently come back from this lovely little site and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. As others have said, the route in isn’t great, but it’s well worth it when you get there.
We had a bit of a problem with our car while we were there, and Steve the owner was very helpful in telling us where we could get the problem diagnosed while we were there. It was quickly sorted when we got home.
The views from the site are great, and the site had everything we needed and more. The prices were very reasonable and metered electricity suited us perfectly as we don’t use a lot. The 10 amp supply was more than adequate for our needs, and probably most other peoples’ too.
Each pitch is individual with its own little garden, and hedges divide the pitches, providing a degree of privacy.
There are shops fairly close by and the railway station is only a short walk away. Buses are even closer. It is perfect for exploring the island and the Kent coastal towns.
I’m sure we’ll be back.

Amazing little gem absolutely loved this site. Only 7 hard standing pitches, beautifully kept by Charlie’s stunning roses.
Heated shower and toilet block, washing and dryer available. Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Workshop on site for those little jobs that need replacing or fixing while you stay.

I phoned Steve, to book a plot, we have 2 children as well as our self's, 2 large dogs, 3 rabbits, and a parrot, there was ample of room for us all,
A fantastic separate garden, with ornamental planting in the centre of the plot, for a community experience,
I would advise to have provision's on board for your stay. ☺️

Lovely quiet campsite. Very well kept grounds, all neat and tidy with views over the Thames estuary.
Nearby river walks.
Steve the owner was very welcoming and helpful.
Don't be put off by the drive up to the site it is a little oasis when you arrive there.

Enjoyed our stay at Leobay, a small site with plenty of space for each motorhome. The privacy hedges and wooden table and benches were much appreciated.
Easy to walk to local pubs where food was good and served speedily.
Lovely setting with views of the harbour and so peaceful. Owner and gardener gave a warm welcome. Will visit again to see the array of plants as well as to enjoy the tranquillity.
Shame only 10 amp but with gas we were able to boil the kettle for a pot of tea! Cost was reasonable.
Only downside for me was the dirt road to reach the site but will visit again.

A quirky site overlooking the confluence of the Rivers Swale and Medway.
It was one of the best pitches I have ever stayed on, being spacious, surrounded by privacy hedges and having a good size lawn with my own wooden table and benches.
Loads of birds to look at in addition to the wading birds on the rivers and the occasional passing ship - lovely.
From the site you can walk onto the large expanse of derelict industrial (port) land next to the river and then on to the marshes. Wonderful for watching nature and good for dog walking but definitely not beautiful.
The site was very quiet when I was there and also no nearby street lighting so it felt peaceful.
There is a 'summer house' and also a large kitchen and sitting area for campers. There is a car mechanic working on the site but that in no way impinged on my stay.
If you like quirky it is worth persevering as you drive through rather depressed areas and then down a rutted dirt road to reach this special site.
