Very basic but lovely. We spent 4 days here enjoying the beautiful countryside and quiet surroundings.
We loved the freedom to sit by the lake and build an open fire. The owners are friendly and sociable - so are the donkeys and Lulu the shetland pony!
The nearby village of Newick is a 15 minute walk along foot-paths with a good pub for a drink and a chat with locals. There's also an excellent bakery with lots of yummy breads and snacks. Good maps of local foot-paths are available in the post office - we recommend the 5 Wrens walk for a great day out. We'll be back with our bell-tent and look forward to seeing this new site develop.

Just returned from this lovely site after three days over the May Bank holiday weekend. The site is very peaceful and quiet.
The owner is very friendly and helpful, as yet basic facilities no showers or toilets.
The village is about a twenty minute walk, with three pubs and a Indian restaurant. We ate in the Royal Oak which served good food and a decent ale.
The on site fishing is excellent I caught mirror carp up to 12 lbs and a net full of cruscians, the fishing is free if you are camping.Will definitely be returning
