 Stopped here on a second day stop over on a trip from England to Toscana at the end of May this year. I chose it for it's location.
Being less than half hour through the St Bernard tunnel and set in the gorgeous Aosta Valley. We arrived late ( just before 8pm ) yet was able to book six of us and a tent onto a pitch without any problems.
The owner was very friendly and we both managed ok with my pitiful Italian and her reasonable English. It was quite cold still and we could clearly see the snow on top of some of the mountains. But oh what stunning scenery !
We were the only tent there and all the pitches were nice and level. We only made brief use of the toilet facilities which were immaculate and the small swings and slides.
The little town/village of Etroubles was right on the campsites doorstep and it looked lovely with a mountain stream running right through it.
More suited to couples or those on an adventure holiday I would say rather than a family with young kids. We didn't have time to sample the surrounding area as we were just passing through.
So, as a quick stop over in a stunning location, this site was just perfect for us. I would recommend.
