We have been travelling up and down Wales on our honeymoon, staying at various different campsites
This campsite was lovely - very very basic, but every campsite has to start somewhere!
We were first shown to the lower field, which was lovely and remote - you felt like you were the only ones around for miles - however, we had been living straight out our car every night due to us moving sites to often, and you couldn't drive your car down to the site at this time. So we turned down the campsite and said we would find another one - to which the owner replied 'You can just pitch up in the garden if you like!'
And that is what we did - fantastic pitch, with a fantastic view!
There are no showers, just a toilet (and basin), and a compost toilet down in the lower field (however I believe the B&B on site can offer you a bath if you require one). There is also fresh water - and a rather friendly ginger Tom cat!
We had a great evening sat around a barbecue watching the buzzards and red kites circle the valley below - again, what a fabulous view!
The campsite was recommended to us from one of the tour guides at the Gold Mine nearby (Which was also a lot of fun)
Overall, it is very basic, but good value for money - Due to there being no showers or washing up facilities, I wouldn't recommend staying there for a long period of time, but a couple nights is definitely a charm
