 We went again, me and the dog, and stayed in the pod for two nightsin August. It was quiet but great. Ate in the Marquis, fish, homemade chips and peas a fiver ! Fantastic drink in the sea lion. I couldnt fault it. I walked over Ipstones towards St Leonards church. Lovely. We were made welcome and cooked bacon/eggs from local shop. Great, we conquered the stove!! We settled into the pod no problem. There is a toaster / kettle / radio facilities and lighting. We shall return!

I visited the site last weekend I took my dog and even though I was only there a night we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in the pod.
I'm going back in august. Dave the site owner is very helpful, amiable. The pod has power, lighting, kettle, toaster, two chairs and a table. Two bunk beds. Also air mattresses.
Clean and tidy. Toilet block on site in a portable cabin. Separate shower block both clean. With a 50p honesty box. Please donate it'll make you feel better to be honest. I was even offered the loan of a stove. I'll build my confidence for that one.
Churnet valley railway a couple of mile away. Well worth a visit.
Three pubs within walking distance. The red lion two meals for a tenner. Sea lion lovely pub. And the marquis of granby lovely jubbly. In all quiet serene site. Go there.
There's also power hook ups for caravans and hardstanding.
