Great campsite attached to a massive fishery.
Pubs within walking distance
Friendly staff with electric on a meter
Toilet and shower block are nice and clean.
New owners are finding their feet.
We'll be back and the fishing is brilliant.
Children need to be under control but you can be a distant from the many lakes

Been here few times before but since last year toilet block open but not clean as parents and kids not cleaning after themselves. Owner cleaned them once in 5 days.
The electric is so over priced with card system. £5. 00 or £10. 00. Still money left on when we left but no rebate. What happens if you run out in middle of night. Make it all inclusive of pitch price.
Poor after what could be a good site.

Fantastic welcome.
Owners really nice and helpful. Shower and toilet block superb, they were cleaned every morning.
We are planning another 2 visits this year at least.
My husband being a fisherman loves the lakes and I enjoy the stunning views.
The cafe of course is a added bonus.

We came here to stay for a few days and it was absolutely fantastic, the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful if you need anything, there are toilets and a shower on site these are modern and clean.
Also a cafe where you can get breakfast etc if you don't feel up to cooking. Absolutely stunning views and at £12 with ehu we really cant complain.
I would highly recommend this site as we will be returning. Dog and child friendly too. They are updating the site to have more pitches and a toilet and shower block over the next year or so.
It does sit right at the side of the m69 motorway and you can hear it but its not overpowering.
Maybe they could stock essentials like bread milk etc in their cafe, even though its not to far from a town.

Stayed for 4 nights at Spring Bank holiday, only us on site for 3 of them. The gates were locked at 9pm, but we were loaned a key free of charge, wasn't hassled for money - £12 per night - bailiff came round to collect it next morning when going round collecting fishing fees - fishing £7 for 1 rod or £10 for 2 rods.
We could hear the noise from the motorway, but soon got used to it! Otherwise really peaceful.
The caravan site overlooks Lake 5, and looking out of the window we could see fish jumping out of the water, the ducks and duckings swimming around and the fishermen catching fish. A lovely site for fishing, but also well placed for sightseeing.
Fisherman's cafe (didn't know about it till just before coming home) and bait shop by fishing car park.
Downside, we struggled to get television signal, but we managed without it.
Basic site, only water, elsan point and ehu, but well worth a visit - pity it's about 100 miles from home!

M69 far to close very noisy, the Dog walking field was opposite the touring field but the grass was very long so not good.
We decided to walk the dog around the lakes (on the lead) but were told off for being there as dogs not allowed near the lakes! Nice café basic but good food.
The owner was helpful when I pointed out that there was nowhere to empty the grey water (I wonder what other people did).
They are building a bigger caravan site but as stated before this site is more suited to fishermen.

Stayed at this site for a weekend break. The owners were very pleasant & helpful.
The site is at the side of a large fishing lake beautiful views. Slight traffic noise from nearby m69 but bearable.
Only the basic water, elsan point, ehu. Ideal site if you are a fisherman. Very good value @ £12 per night. Will be returning again soon for a very pleasant weekend.
Would highly recommend this site as it is very peaceful with lovely walks around the lakes.
