The site is down a long and slightly narrow track and is situated just beyond the owner's house.

The field itself is about as peaceful and secluded as you could ever hope for aside from the sounds of nature and is on a gentle slope surrounded by trees.

The toilet is in a (slightly old) mobile home which also contains a fridge and mains electricity and was perfectly adequate though the owner has plans to improve this in the future.

By the entrance to the track is a pub which serves excellent and good value traditional food but check opening hours as they are slightly limited.

As far as I could see this is the closest 'non-commercial' type site to Bournemouth which is about 20 minutes drive.

We paid £13 a night for 2 of us which seemed like good value.

When we went it had only been open for a few weeks but I can see it getting better and better as it becomes more established.

All in all this is an excellent camp site and I would challenge anyone to find more friendly and helpful owners who helped make our short stay so pleasant.
