Just back from Thurlmoor farm the owners Gary and Millie were very helpful.
The site has Grass pitches and good facilities and the views are amazing.
We stayed there so we could cycle part of the Trans Pennine trail which we did the road to the trail is quite steep but the trail is reasonably flat we cycled down to the Thurgoland tunnel which is worth going to.
We will definitely be going back.

Great spot for views and touring around the area, only 1. 5miles from Dunford Bridge to Penistone cycle path, a lovely cycle path of 14 miles return.
The view is panoramic right across the moors and in sunny weather beautiful.
No facilities only the necessary for emptying waste and toilet plus water, all in excellent order.

What a gem of a site this is. My son booked his caravan in for 2 nights and invited us to join him after 5 months of lockdown it was great to see our granddaughters and family.
The site is tucked away between Sheffield and Holmfirth, with absolutely amazing views over the Don Valley and Peak District Hills.
It is a CL with Electric Hookup and Chemical Toilet disposal point and Waste Water Disposal as well as the usual fresh water.
The owners are really attentive and regularly patrol the site it is totally secure and safe. We had all our amenities on board our van so I would rate 10 out of 10 for us.
There are walks close by across amazing countryside, we didn't visit any local sites as it is on the border of South Yorkshire and Kirklees the latter was still in lockdown when we visited, but there is plenty of local villages and towns to stock up close by.

Nice site, was met at the site by the friendly owner, Martin, who told us all we needed to know about the site and lots of other information on the local area. The site is on two levels, the lower level usually has motorhomes the top caravans. No Toilets or showers on this site. Some recycle. Easy entrance. Fantastic views but it is an exposed site being high up and open. Grass was short and the clippings collected. TV and phone signal were good with 4g on O2. There is a Tesco in Penistone. Went to nearby Holmfirth, where Last of the summer wine was filmed. Also went to the Oil Can Cafe, in 'Hepworth' where there are retro surroundings and antique cars, alongside where you eat, (be aware it is moving soon to another place. )

What a brilliant site this is. Stayed there for two nights in July and had a brilliant time. The site is elevated and has stunning views across Woodhead Pass. Martin the owner couldn't be more helpful, he gave us info on the local area, eating places, bus timetables and the Pennine Trail walk which we did. The walk is approx 6 miles from Dunford Bridge to Penistone with a welcome bus ride home which dropped us right outside the gate. There are regular buses into Holmfirth with the last one back being around 10. 30pm. This site is a credit to Martin and we will definitely be staying again. Well Done Martin

Peaceful well kept site with stunning scenery overlooking Woodhead Pass.
The Owners are friendly and helpful.
Within easy reach of Holmfirth (Summer Wine Country).
We can recommend a good food pub less than a mile away from the site which the owners told us about.
The nearest supermarket is about a ten minute drive - Tesco Penistone. There is also a Co-op in Holmfirth.
Good area for walking. The local bus stops at the site entrance if you prefer to leave the car behind.
We went for one week and stayed for two and will definitely be returning.
