I wrote a very favourable review of this site some years ago and we have tried to go back there twice since then, but the site has been closed both times. Although the website is dead, Bernard Gaben, the owner, answers e mails promptly and says 'Alas the camping is not open. ' The most recent occasion was at the end of June 2015. So if anyone has a different answer please speak up !
We thought this was a delightful spot and have recommended it to several friends since then.
There is room for about 25 tents or caravans, some on open grassland and some in woodland, but it is not cramped and there is plenty of space for children to play.
The facilities are smart and modern, with good showers, washing machines, and an open access deep freeze available. There is a small above ground swimming pool, more suitable for children than adults.
When we were there the clientèle was entirely French, and I'd guess few English people know of it. They should !
Toulouse and Albi are within quite easy reach by car, and there is a wonderful garden open to the public, with toy train rides very nearby.
The owners live on the spot and are very helpful. I love sites where they take orders for bread or croissants in an evening, and then deliver it to your awning early next day.
Current prices are on their website - I think we paid about 10 euros for the two of us. A bargain and a gem.
