Camped at this site for two nights. It is in an ideal location for walking on the moors directly from the site.
The facilities are adequate, everything you would expect on a genuine walkers camp site.
The big plus point is the Buck Inn itself, very good food and refreshments with a warm welcome and great hospitality from the owner.
Ten out of ten for me, will stay here again. Many thanks.

The site had the most amazing views, overlooking rolling hills and lush trees.
There was ample room for our converted Berlingo and an awning, with the use of a basic shower and toilet.
Being in the back yard to the buck inn meant we could dine before settling down to watch the sunset.
Would recommend as long as you don't mind basic amenities.

Camped 1 night on c2c. Great camping field with added bonus of 3 small shelters.
Only us camping so we took a little shelter each to pitch under due to the rain.
Little shed with toilet and unlimited shower at no extra charge. Room for drying some stuff in there also.
Wolfgang and Paul were friendly and welcoming. Dinner was superb.
Its a long walk to the route and we managed to arrange a lift to the top. Offered petrol money obviously as they are not obliged to spare us the couple of miles of uphill road plodding to The trail. Distance from the route is the only reason I gave 7 for location.
Otherwise the area is beautiful if you're not walking point to point and I'd give it a 10

Stayed here for one night. If you’re coming past here, or thinking between this or the campsite in Kirkby, definitely come here.
Wolfgang, Helen and Catherine were so welcoming, you almost feel like you’re coming home.
It’s a very sweet small pub with a lot of character, amazing beers and great pub food. We stayed in the garden area and it was perfect.
100% recommend this place, hopefully get the chance to come back in the future.

Such a great place! The campsite is really pretty and well maintained, and the facilities were spotless!
We had the chance to have a few chats with the owner, who was super welcoming, friendly and a delight.
The rest of the staff were very friendly too, taking time to make us feel at home, welcome and part of the Buck Inn family.
Great food too - would 100% recommend

Stayed here for one night while walking the C2C so this review may be limited.
The camping field is in the beer garden of the Buck Inn, it is well enclosed relatively flat with a large covered area if needed. There are no showers and the toilet facilities are shared with the pub and very clean-closed at closing time till about seven in the morning! The landlady brought me out a cup of tea while I was setting up my tent-much appreciated.
The beer is a mixture of draught German & British and very good. The evening menu is rather good with a wide selection of dishes all cooked to perfection according to the people I spoke too, a credit to Wolfgang the chef & owner. The breakfast was either full English or continental. If you need a packed lunch the next day, see Wolfgang the evening before and he will inform you of the extensive choice, can recommend the roast beef and horseradish as well as the Tuna Mayo!
Finally for a small fee you can be transported back to the C2C trail which is about three miles away all up hill any time between about 08:15-08:45. I believe they may even pick you up from the trail-but check first.
